For The Moment…51

Even though we sin daily, and our grievous acts are like bruises and purifying sores, like wounds before God, who is holy.

Though we are corrupt, if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us.

He will cast them away as far as the east is from the west. He will remember them no more.

This is His promise and this He will do. For He is the Lord and in Him do we hope and in Him is our salvation.

(Psalm 38 and Isaiah 1 verse 6 )

For The Moment…50

Psalm 37 verses 1 to 5

Don’t worry about people who are not for you. People who pull you down. Those who discredit you. People who speak badly about you. Maybe at work there is a co-worker who is getting everything: the promotion, more money, the accolades. You do the same job, and yet no one notices you, but management gives that coworker the upper hand.

Maybe a friend is getting married and then another and another and you look around and there is no one for you.

Maybe a relative is just so ungrateful after you helped them financially, and they don’t remember your good deeds. Now, look at you with all those bills plying up, and you have no way out.

Don’t worry.

Let all of these people do what they do, but you stay close to the Lord and enjoy His word.

Those people will not last with their joy because it is only for a short time.

You will be rewarded. The Lord will bless you in His time.

Stay strong in the Lord and the power of His might.

Trust and not to despair

What is the biggest challenge you will face in the next six months?

Trusting God when I see no way out or no path the follow is hard at times. I still fall into my old habits of fear.

This year has been challenging at work, home, health, and my side hustles and hobbies.

I have a full life, but at times, I stretch myself thin, which can lead to poor choices that over time affect my health in my body and mind.

This year, I have put my life in the Lord’s hands. I’ve seen amazing things.

Still, when a harder thing comes up, I hesitate and feel my trust is shakey.

So, this is my challenge: I need to trust Him at all times.

Trust Him in everything.

Trust Him with my words and my mind.

As my Mom always said. Trust Him where you can not trace Him.

Amen

Stay with it

What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Don’t give up so easily whether at school or with tasks at home.

Don’t let anyone get to you because the Lord is with you and you are never alone.

You can do all things through Christ because He gives you strength.

The sky is the limit with the Lord on your side.

For The Moment…49

God’ s love and kindness are from everlasting to everlasting.

There is no limit to his mercy and faithfulness. They are true all day long.

Great is my God, and greatly should He be praised forever.

(Psalm 36 verse 5)

Waiting for appointments

What bores you?

In Covid times( still is), but at the beginning, if you had to make a medical appointment, there was no waiting room waiting. Mind doctors did appointments virtually. Then, after a couple of vaccines some clinics opened for in person appointments.

You made the appointment. You came on time, and you were taken in on time.

Now, you get to wait.

One thing it is still not like pre Covid : You waited a long time for your doctor to see you for less than five minutes only only to tell you, take a aspirin and call me in a day or two.  (That I don’t mind. Health is wealth.)

Still, the more things change is, the more they stay the same.

For The Moment…48

I will sing praises to the Lord all day long.

I will magnify his name, for He is worthy to be praised.

He saved me from all my fears. He comforts me.

My tongue shall speak of thy righteousness my Lord and thy praise all day long. My tongue is a pen of a ready writer for thou art worthy from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same.

(Psalm 35 verse 28 an Psalm 45 verse 1)

Fruit Wine Spritzer

What is your favorite drink?

It is such a nice refreshing drink for any season  from  my sister’s recipe.

Made with fruit juice like orange or peach, even both. You will mix it with a dry white wine or a sweet white wine like a Moscato with high sugar content. Then add Sprite or Seven up, not soda water. If you want it a tiny bit sweeter, then add a little grenadine, but  that will be too sweet when using a Moscato or maybe not. 😉

Really, it is a grown-up up version of a Shirley Temple.

Serve it chilled, and it is delish.

For The Moment…47

He will fight for you.

With God on your side, you have confidence and the assurance of victory.

He is your Champion, and there is none like Him.

Be in peace and trust Him.

The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

He will fight against them that fight against you.

(Exodus 14 verse 14 and Psalm 35 verse 1)

My girls, the Fab Three.

Who are your favorite people to be around?

My girls are my best friends.

They are there for me in good times and bad times.

We laugh. We talk. We listen and try not to judge.

Some of the advice is questionable but they mean well.

I am more relaxed and myself in their company than any others’.

There are very good people I call  the Fab Three.
