In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.

When You have a Connection With God

In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. Isaiah 30 verse 15

Jehovah is elucidating where you can find hope and rest. If you want to armor yourself against today’s battles, try resting in Him. He is the One who supplies hope, peach, rest, and encouragement to your soul. You take your quiet time, a time by yourself with no distractions, and talk with Him. That means you pay and read his word, the Bible to hear him. Get your strength from Him as we learn and lean on Him

God’s love is great and forgiving

When God is Love

“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins and clothed them.” Genesis 3 verse 21

God’s love is great and forgiving, even amidst the worse situation His lovingkindness surpasses understanding. Adam and Eve were afraid of God because they knew they had sinned, so they ran from Him and hid themselves.  But God found them and with His own hands in simple and pure love, made coverings for them, so that they could come back into His presence without shame.

Fear not for I am with you.

What To Do With Fear

It comes for us all, sometime.

We look then suddenly we get that feeling.

The heart beats hard and fast, the hands begin to shake.

The brow is drenched with sweat, the eyes refuse to focus,

While the cold, icy fingers of fear paralyzes the mind.

The fear of everything new and everything old.

There is loneliness, financial hardship, homelessness, unemployment, pain, suffering and finally death.

Fear has a myriad of faces and many companions to support, nurture, and keep it alive until the bitter end.

Best not to give in.

Easy to say.

Best to turn away without giving credence.

Not so easy to do.

Look up to the light, never to look away.

Remember His words of comfort, and believe what He says,

Because He said it and God is not a man that He should lie.

Numbers 23 verse 19

“Fear not for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am your God. You shall not be afraid for the terror by night nor for the arrow that flies by day. Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.  A thousand shall fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come nigh you.” Psalm 91 verses 5 to 7

My God in him will I trust

My God, I Will Trust…

My refuge, my strength I trust no other.

He saves me from harm

And saves me from self and shame

Protected, folded in his arms, why am I afraid?

Loneliness compasses me, covering my soul

Darkness tempts me, its cruel voices rise,

They call out to me and I hear them,

Where now is he who is your refuge and your strength?

He has turned from you in pity.

Cries ascend, fear and doubt descend on me, I cannot see.

Life pauses for a time, or two or more, and still there is nothing .

Tired, I rest my eyes against the pain.

I slump in agony and nothingness.

Then are my ears open and finally I hear.

I listen to that still, small melody;

So swift, so quiet, so easily missed.

I hear it, I remember its sweet tune and I know.

It is He who comes softly;

My Refuge who rises with the morning sun;

And kisses the fragrant dawn with sweet words of comfort.

I need no other.

His time is his and his work is perfect

He is known of me and I of him.

In the night and in the day, He is become my song and I follow him.

Reference: Psalm 91 verse 1 and 2

He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty . I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my fortress: my God in him will I trust.

Word of God shall stand forever

The Word of God is True

  • But the word of God shall stand forever. Isaiah 40:8
  • And to them that have no might he increases strength
  • The grass withers and the flower fades
  • He gives power to the faint

He that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. Psalm 91 verse 1

A close relationship with God has benefits; present and eternal.

to every thing there is a season

The Relatable…

The search to find understanding is endless.

The need to share wants and desires with others is satisfying to our thirsty souls.

To create connections builds within the breast as surely the heart beats;

Making the ability to relate to another as the framework of mankind, so deep is the engraining.

It makes no difference when opposites attract, they too can form a whole;

But when there is a chasm within the whole and that which was once complete is now, imperfect.

Where now is the bonding that holds?

Where ever was empathy, there no longer is sense;

The perfect has become repellant.

The delight now sour and the search to relate, commences again.

As the world turns, so too relations evolve;

Are born, live for a time and then die.

All things must pass and in this world all things must come to an end.

Until a newness is born.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3 verse 1

When Death Invades Life…

What happens next when death invades life.

How to cope with the passing of a life once loved by those around?

Looking to the left or the right.

Falling on the knees and weeping in pain

Looking through the darkness in uncertainty and yet not seeing a light.

Taking that one small step forward is agony to the heart

Gather together the fruits and remembrance of that life now gone.

Gone, but never to forget; never to lose self in the past but to press on.

Press on in love knowing that there is comfort among others who understand;

Who experience loss and have won the gift of endurance.

“Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5 v

I sought the Lord and he heard me and delivered me from all my fears.

What Happens Next When You Are Afraid?

Evening Sky

What happens now? After that which was, is now gone forever.

What should be done when I feel afraid?

How should it be?

Backed into a corner with two sides converging;

With no where else to go, either the left or the right.

Neither up nor down.

But the heart knows as surely as it beats within the breast.

The mind is swift to act but conceives nothing but fear.

And fear brings along with it, torment.

Move into the light;

Seek understanding.

Think of the good, remind the soul of the food we call life.

Life, the precious fabric of being is fleeting.

Delicate yet strong and at the best of times, resilient.

In all things life cannot be stamped out, but finds a way to shine transcendent.

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4 verse 18

“I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” Psalm 34 verse 4

Bring praise to the Lord

Where do we go from here?

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.

Hallelujah, Christ has conquered.

Now, seated at the Father’s right hand.

Sing Hallelujah.

Bring praise to the Lord.

Burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

Tribute and admiration belong to him and to him alone.

Give him honour, respect and worship him in the beauty of holiness.

( references: Psalm 96 verse 9, Psalm 150 verse 6, Hebrews 1 verse 3)

Hallelujah – the merging of two words

In the Hebrew Bible – Hillel – is a verb meaning to praise

Jah – the Lord or YHWH or Yahweh.
