God is My Salvation…

Yet To Be #277

Behold, God is my Salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord, Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Isaiah 12 verse 2

He is my protection and in him, will I trust.

I am not afraid of the terror that walks in the day nor of the darkness that shrouds the night.

His song will be forever in my heart and his joy on my lips.

I will praise him forever through all eternity.

He is my strength, my song, and my salvation.

And in him, I lack nothing.

When God Makes Bare His Arm

Yet To Be # 276

Therefore thus saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts: O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian; he shall smite thee with a rod and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt; for yet a very little while and the indignation shall be accomplished, and mine anger, in their destruction. Isaiah 10 verses 24 and 25.

Don’t worry about those who rise up against you.

Their end is near.

Because their time is brief and full of vanity.

God is not blind and neither is he deaf.

In the fullness of time, He will make bare his arm and descend in judgment against them.

Do not fret, the Lord himself will defend you.

If They Conspire Against You

Yet To Be #275

Ye shall not say, Conspiracy, of everything, of which this people saith, Conspiracy; and fear ye not their fear, and be not in dread. Jehovah of hosts, him shall ye sanctify; and let him be your dread. Isaiah 8 verses 12 and 13.

They are some who live in constant fear while delighting to plot against you.

They view your every move as a mark on them.

Seeing you as the enemy, therefore, despising you for no good reason.

Sometimes it does not take two hands to clap, with these people jealousy lines their hearts.

They ride a slippery slope and quickly give in to paranoia as they go about living.

Don’t be like this lot so easily swayed and give in to the feeling of dread.

Remember you have a sanctuary in God.

Reverence Him and let Him work for you.

Quiet and Wait and Pay Attention

And say unto him, take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted. Isaiah 7 verse 4

There is a time for everything.

A time to speak and a time to keep quiet.

keeping your mouth shut can enable you to listen;

Pay attention and check out the lay of the land ahead of you.

You cannot hear the truth if you are making all the noise.

Stay quiet, think and steel your mind against whatever will come your way.

You don’t know the future, so be prepared for the good or the bad.

He has you secured.

Sudden Fear…

God is our Champion

Yet To Be #273

Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked when it comes. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. Proverbs 3 verse 25

Unexpected danger can rise up against us at any time.

We are not immune to the darkness or the violence that surrounds every nation on this earth nor even to the dangers outside our window.

But as a child of the true and living God, we have security in his care.

Confident that his word is true.

He will never leave us.

He will always take care of us.

He is our protector.

Our Champion.

Our Saviour and shield.

He knows the right way to take, all we have to do is follow and not be afraid.

Thinking of Jesus…

he was brought as a lamb to the slaughter

Before I Wake #2

…He was brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearer is dumb, so he opened not his mouth. Isaiah 53 verse 7

In willing obedience and perfect submission, he finished the work that the Father gave him to do.

Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered. Hebrews 5 verse 8.

With God There is Peace…

Yet To Be# 271

Great peace have they which love thy law and nothing shall offend them. Psalm 119 verse 165

There is no peace when we are surrounded by strife, poverty, and violence.

To have a little solace in our private space is something elusive.

If we cannot have it we decide to create our own brand of comfort and race toward that ultimate goal.

Hooked on the rush of the moment, that sense of euphoria we run the mill like rats on a wheel moving over and over again until we tear off the routine, the same old, same old when things grow stale or we become too weary to go on.

Unaccommodated, stripped of all the trappings of society left alone with the nakedness of our emotions, we are now ready.

Ready to enter into a place of quietness where God is our focus.

In his presence, there is no censor, no criticism.

We learn of true peace.

We learn there is rest and we delight in his word.

God is My Strength…

Yet To Be # 270

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear what can man do unto me? Psalm 118 verse 6

If God is for me who can be against me?

My heavenly Father is the Creator. He made heaven and earth with the wave of His hand.

He called into existence those things that didn’t exist to be alive.

He hung the worlds in space and He made the sun for the day and the moon for the night.

And He hears my prayers as I cry Abba Father.

I pity those who rise up to do me harm.

The Day After…My Soul is Pleased

His comforts delight my soul.

Yet To Be #269

In the multitude of my thoughts within me, thy comforts delight my soul. Psalm 94 verse 19

As I contempt the Lord who He is and what He has done for me, I wonder what it is about me that He would die for me?

Who am I that He should stoop so low from the palace of His glory to take my place in death?

I can say that it is His great love that makes Him mindful of me.

He saw me afar off and He prepared a way for me.

Nothing I have done and nothing I will do can take Him surprise.

Nothing that I face daily will cause Him to turn His back on me.

So vast and free is His love for me.

To my Saviour I am priceless.

His ways bring joy to my soul.

What Do You Think About Christ?

This is a personal question…

Yet To Be #267

When I think about Christ, I see him as my Lord and Saviour.
He is the son of God, the son of his love.
His only begotten son was with him way back in eternity before the world began.

Matthew 22 verse 42

And Jesus asked them saying, What think you of Christ? Whose son is he?

This is a personal question deserving a personal response.
