For The Moment…96

Let us walk in the light of the Lord.  Isaiah 2 verse 5.

Light illuminates. It reveals the direction to take. It can be a beacon in the middle of darkness as a guide to safety.

As we walk in the Lord’s light, we will see a clear path for our feet so they will not slip. We will not fall but if we do for any reason fall or even stumble maybe because our legs are tired and our mind need rest, the Lord will pick us up and hold our hand to give us strength so we can keep moving forward.

He is a good God.

I give back

What do you do to be involved in the community?

I am not a person who likes to get involved in a great many things, but looking around at the situations in this city makes me want to do something.

My sisters and I formed a social group of friends and co-workers to stay in touch. For ten years, it was a great success. In the latter part of those years at the annual Christmas event, we called on them to donate food items for the local food bank.

The response was overwhelming. We were able to give and bless local families with provisions.

Covid hit, and the social hasn’t come back together. We are working on it, and we are hopeful. But we still give as a family to the local food bank.

The need in the city is great, and we pray that our denotions would continue to be a blessing.

Mayor of the city

What’s a job you would like to do for just one day?

Just for one day I would like to be mayor of my city. I would really like to know the truth. What is really happening? Where is the money really going?

We pay taxes, yet we  are always told there is nothing left for roads, school repairs, housing, and community services for the elderly, hospitals, and hospital’s staff, to name a few things.

What is really happening behind the doors of  city hall?

For The Moment…95

And it shall come to pass in the last days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills. Isaiah 2 verse 2.

The last days before the Lord returns and calls his waiting people home will be a time when there will be worship worthy of his name.

His people will not forget him. He will find us praising him.

Natural Stuff

What are your favorite brands and why?

I am not leaning towards anyone in particular. I like products that are pure and natural for my body. I enjoying wearing clothes from designers that have simple clean lines but not too expensive.

I am not vegan or vegetarian, but I do read ingredients and stay with less GMO or chemicals. What I ingest is important. I try to eat local and more certified organic.

I take local transit not because I am cheap but because the traffic is real bad. Driving into the city is a headache.

I am not loyal to any certain brand. I also look at what is on sale. Prices are way too high.

I love luxury but on sale.

For The Moment…94

Come now and let us reason together saith the Lord. Isaiah 1 verse 18.

This is so wonderful. God the creator of all things. The One who called into existence those things that never existed. He made life where their was no life.

This same God throws out an invitation for all to see. He bids us to come and talk with him.

Amazing.

Come and we can talk.

He is a good God.

A faithful God.

For The Moment…93

Vow and pay unto the Lord your God. Psalm 76 verse 11

If you make a promise to God, please fulfill that promise. We need to remember He is God the almighty. Spoke words to him are not taken lightly.

We trust him to fulfill his promises to us. Why do we not do the same?

I do vote…

Do you vote in political elections?

It was never always the case, but as things in the country seem to be getting tense I now realize that my vote matters.

One thing, you never know if you are voting for the right leader. Only God knows what that person will do when they are in office.

Nevertheless, my advice is to stay  informed and then cast your vote.

The Bible

What gives you direction in life?

There is an old Sunday School song that sums things up well. It calls the Bible as my college.

I know some say the Bible is  antiquated, and yes, it is an ancient book, but there are so many lessons to learn within the pages.

It is God’s word.

Every morning, I pray and open the Bible to get instructions for the day. The Holy Spirit speaks to me in my spirit. I make choices based on what I learn and what I read.

To really understand the good of the Bible, you have to walk by faith, and the Spirit of God will open your eyes to the truth. It is so simple.

God says those who diligently seek Him will find Him. He is not lost. He is waiting for you.

For The Moment…92

Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
