No. I practice Christ.

Do you practice religion?

Some will say that is the same like religion, but it isn’t.

Yes, I believe in Jesus and that he is the son of God. I try to live a life pleasing to God.

I talk to him.

I trust Him.

I listen to his voice from the Holy Scriptures.

I am a born-again believer who has been washed in the blood of the Lamb. And my name is in the Book of Life.

I have a normal life with normal habits, but my life is fuelled by my trust in the Lord.

I am not perfect. I bleed. I cry. I get angry when driving, but I trust my Lord as I walk through this life with all the ups and downs.

Do I practice religion?

I live a life pleasing to the Lord. I walk and talk with him like I would someone I care about but with all respect and reverence due to him because he is God. Yet, he is my friend.

Do I have a belief?

Yes, I believe in God. I believe in Christ Jesus, who is the son of God.

Is this religious?

Call it whatever you like. I will still believe.

For The Moment…106

So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks forever; we will shew forth thy praise to all generations. Psalm 79 verse 13.

We have a privilege to call on the name of the Lord at all times, not just to make requests but also to praise him and to give thanks.

Thanks giving is forgotten when we have needs. We look to him for help so easily, and yet to thank him, we have to have a reference point.

How selfish are we to put our needs forward everytimewe approach him.

For a moment, take time to give the Lord a word of praise and thank him not just for what he has done but because he is God and worthy to be praised.

The internet is convenient but not the end all.

Do you remember life before the internet?

I do remember going to the library  to gather information was truly active. I had to get there. I had to search the databases and then go physically to the stacks to get whatever I needed. There are some things I still need to go and physically search for, and I must admit that when I do that, it is so much fun. I feel like a treasure hunter.

I like libraries. I love books, old scripts, and pages. The internet is great and convenient,  but touching paper and turning a page beats out the internet, hands down.

For The Moment…105

Ask, and it shall be given you, seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Matt 7 verse 7

We can approach the throne of grace with all boldness.

We can call on the name of the Lord.

We can come before God and ask anything in the name of his son, Jesus Christ, and it will be given unto us.

For The Moment…104

And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man saying, we will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name , to take away our reproach. Isaiah 4 verse 1.

A true marriage of convenience. This is a prophesy from ancient times, and it fits so well in today’s modern society.

It is good to be strong and not to be dependent on people. Our dependence should be on God, not on a man or anyone, but God is our resource.

He provides people to help us in our time of need. He prepares a path for us to walk where we encounter many folks to help us and to be there for us. We are never alone.

We can be self-sufficient, but we need to call upon the Lord for our needs.

Comic Books…

Do you have any collections?

I enjoyed Xmen comics way before they were popular. I started collecting when I was a child and continued into college and university.

I loved the stories from the Marvel comics. I collected DC ones too, but my favorites were from Marvel.

One thing both comics were known for was the art. The artists and the inking were great then, and still, they are beyond great now.

In those days, comics were not expensive but now…oh my. If I were a kid now, I couldn’t afford them.

I don’t think some books are worth  much, because I read them so many times they are not in good condition. But I don’t care they are still mine, and I love them.

For The Moment…103

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will direct your path. Proverbs 3 verses 5 and 6

Give it all to God. If the problem is too big and the solution is too hard to fathom.

When there is no hope in the natural sense, believe.

Remember, we serve a supernatural God whose ways for not our ways. Who can do anything far above what we can ever think.

Only if we believe and trust in him with a faith even as small as a mustard seed. He will move heaven and earth to see us through.

She was kind.

What is the legacy you want to leave behind?

I would like my words to speak of joy and kindness. As an ambassador of Christ, my actions should show kindness. I should be like Christ, who is my Savior.

My actions should show goodness, and I should not speak badly of others. I should not get into arguments but leave the fighting and disagreements to the Lord who promises to fight for me.

I live in peace in a world where there is no peace.

For The Moment…102

I seek the Lord for his word is sweet.

I trust the Lord, for he is good and true.

He is the source of all my blessings. Everything that I have and everything that I am, I owe it all to the Lord.

He provides for all my needs even before I know what to ask for. I call on his name in my day of trouble.

I call on his name when I am lost.

I call upon his name when I have a song on my lips.

Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils. Isaiah 2 verse 22.

No…

Have you ever broken a bone?

I am very clumsy most of the time. I sprained my ankles, bruised  my knees, and torn a muscle in my shoulder, but I had not broken any bones in my body.

Hope never to do such a thing.
