When I was young

Have you ever been camping?

I went camping when I was young. Not pitch a tent camping but summer camping with other same age campers.

I hated it.

Sure, in the end, I made friends, and the activities were fun, but I hated it. The other campers were mean. Typical.

It was my first real time away from home alone, and I learned a lot. For example:

Young girls can be mean even at a Christian camp. Girls will be girls.

I see some of them still, and I get the last laugh. People just like to let themselves go.

As for the other type of camping; I am so not interested.

I hate bugs.

At night and early morning

When do you feel most productive?

I feel most productive late at night or very early in the morning before sunrise. This is the best time: the quiet of the house, no dogs barking, no sister talking nonstop, just me, my computer, and my imagination.

Watch me go.

What are your favorite emojis?

A smiley face makes me feel happy, and I want to share  the good feeling

Free time

What topics do you like to discuss?

I have little free time. At work, they pile more work and responsibilities on me, but don’t give me more time to do them. Then, for some reason, I find the time to make time.

Why can’t I do this in my personal life? Just make time to do all the wonderful things I want to do.

My favorite topic is talking about all the great things I can do when I squeeze time out of my schedule. I love pouring over articles, drawings, writing, and collecting them. I like talking about how these things make me relax, and then I explore different art and crafts to add to my growing collection.

It may seem weird, but just talking about what art project I get to do next relaxes me and makes me feel content.

Crafting is a great topic.

For The Moment…89

I was envious of the foolish when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

Psalm 73 verses 3 and 17.

Don’t look at what others have. Concentrate on your own life.

The grass is never greener on the other side it just looks that way.

Live a life pleasing to the Lord, and everything will fall into place.

The wicked and the foolish will get their own just rewards.

Not a risk taker

When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?

I feel I went over this before, and still, the answer remains the same. I am not a risk taker.

I am boring.

I am a coward, afraid if I take a plunge it would lead to disaster.

Mostly, it will lead to something I can not walk away from with my dignity in tact.

So, I don’t take risks.

I will always regret

Describe a risk you took that you do not regret.

I have got to be the most boring person in the world. OK, maybe not the whole world, but I am boring. I am too afraid to take risks.

Call me a coward, but I feel if I take a risk, I will mostly regret it. The regret will plague me and eat me alive.

No way. Let me stay in my little comfort zone. Thank you very much.

For The Moment…88

For thou art my hope, O Lord God; thou art my trust from my youth. Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength fails.

Psalm 71 verses 5 and 9.

When I am most vulnerable, the Lord will sustain me.

I will remember His love and his kindness from the time of my youth.

All my life, he will be good to me.

He is my hope, and in Him, do I put my trust.

Take control sooner

Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?

In any relationship, romantic, business, or friendship, I find you need to hold onto who you are.

You have principles and keep an eye on them and remember them at all times. Sure, you can let loose and enjoy life and the situation but never lose sight of who you are.

I did once, and I found myself doing everything he wanted and nothing I wanted. Fortunately, I woke up early enough to get out of the so-called relationship. He didn’t like it, but because he didn’t have his hooks on me tight enough, I walked away strong and on my own two feet. But I wish I did it sooner. Nevertheless, I did it in the nick of time.

For The Moment…87

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in ther; and let such as love thy salvation say continually, let God be magnified.

Psalm 70 verse 5

We praise him not just for what he has done but for who he is.

Life is not always about us. We see the Lord in all his beauty.

We praise him and lift him up because he is God.

He is worthy to be praised.
