Others Always Complaining About Others Complaining…

What do you complain about the most?

I know life isn’t perfect. We all complain, whereas some more than others. It is okay to complain because we all need to vent once in a while. It is good to listen to others, helping them to deal with concerns while moving along a conversation, and it is good to sympathize. But there are some who always complain about everything and anything. Those are the people we all desperately seek to avoid.

It is okay to complain but not all the time and then complain about others complaining about complaining.

There are so many grievouses in this world today.

I have a complaint.

For the Moment…26

God is great and worthy to be praised.

The Lord is great from everlasting to everlasting. Praise his name from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same. All day long, I will sing his praises.

They shall come and declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he has done this. One generation passes away, and another comes. (adapted from Psalm 22 verse 31)

Basketball and Soceer

What are your favorite sports to watch and play?

I like them both to watch and to play. One thing is for sure, I am not good at either sport. No, no, and no again.

I like how fast they are. I like to see the energy of the athletes. You can almost feel it.

One more sport I like is, but it may not be a sport, but because the participants are amazing and display a great deal of energy, it is ballet.

Watching the grace, the leaps, the moving on Pointe, and so much more, I cannot deny this could be considered a sport.

For The Moment…25

With praise and Thanksgiving, we go beyond just bringing requests and our petitions to the throne of grace. With boldness, we can ask God in the name of his only son, Jesus Christ, anything. That is our freedom, our boldness. Remembering God and who He is. We also praise Him.

Thine O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O, Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. ( 1 Chronicles 29 verse 11)

If I Won The Lottery

What would you do if you won the lottery?

If I won the lottery, the first thing I would do is give the Lord thanks, then ask Him for guidance on how to use the winnings.

For sure, I would give to the Lord’s work, pay all household and personal debt, give to my siblings and their families, and give to charity. Then, I will invest and save the rest.

But this is if the winnings of the lottery are money.

The winnings could be like that in Shirley Jackson’s short story called The Lottery. If that’s the case, I think I will pass. Thank you very much.

For The Moment…24

He knows them that trust in Him. It is not enough to call Him Savior and go on our merry way, seeing He will never deny us His love. We need to spend time with Him and get to know Him beyond asking for what we need. Thank Him, praise Him, just talk with Him. To know Him is to trust him.

I am the good shepherd…and I am known of mine. (Adapted from John 10 verse 14)

Books and more books

What books do you want to read?

I would like to read more Victorian novels like something from Wikie Collins or Elizabeth Gaskill. More novels of that period to add to my growing number.

Before We Greet the World

Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.

My favorite and most precious tradition, but I will call it a value, is our family worship. Of course, this is extra to our own morning devotions to the Lord.

As far back as I can remember, and even when my parents worked shift jobs, we will have our family prayer.

Never would they let us go to school or even leave the house without committing our day or our ways to the Lord.

Grown up and on business trips or just away from home, we will do it even after our private devotions just before leaving going outside for the morning.

Dad would do a short prayer and read a verse and ask the Lord for guidance before we leave the house. This would never be long, only about five or so tops.

We all still do this in our individual homes. Then, when we get back home, we never fail to give the Lord thanks for a good journey and his mercies. Even before we drive off in the car, we quickly commit our way to the Lord.

It is a blessing to put him first.

The family that prays together does stay together.

For The Moment…23

His mercy endures forever.

God delivered me from mine enemies: yes, he lifted me up above those that rise up against me. Therefore, will I give thanks unto the Lord and sing praises to his name.

He is an all forgiving God. His mercy endures forever. ( adapted from Psalm 18 verses 48 and 49, Psalm 118 and Psalm 136 verses 1 to 9.

Coffee, Tea, and a Window

What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time?

On a lazy, easy day, I love having a nice hot cup of coffee or tea and sitting at a window in a quaint but not too busy coffee shop watching the people outside go by. I like people watching. I am not a voyeur.

If it is raining outside or it is breezy and the wind is lightly blowing, moving things around, I like to watch that, too.

Even if I am at home, I like sitting in my fav chair looking out the big back window, sipping my hot brew with the dogs lying at my feet as I look at the sunrise or the sunset.

I don’t think of anything for certain. I just sit, watch, sigh, and smile.
