One more promise…

I will go before you and make crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron…I am the Lord and there is none else.

God prepares a way when there is no way.

He makes my path straight and gives me light for my feet.

When he makes a promise no one can stop it.

No one can stand against it.

He is God.

Adapted from Isaiah 44 verse 2.

Elora Gorge

Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

The gorge is said to be beautiful with a spectaular view of the rushing waters of the Grand River below. The cliffs are high, and the drop is steep but breathtaking.

I have a painting of the gorge where the artist’s captivation of the area is haunting and yet alluring.

I am hoping to take a trip there maybe this summer dv.

Nothing

List five things you do for fun.

Nothing, nothing, more nothing, nap, and absolutely nothing.

That is the beauty of being free to relax and not worry about what people think about you.

You just be you.

My little protector

If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

My dogs are so cute and fiercely loyal.

When strangers come close they start barking and jumping around. This alerts me whether I am in the home or out walking.

They are amazing. Noise but amazing.

I pat them on the head. Say good boy or girl or give them a treat.

My little protectors.

I feel loved.

Overlooked again and not the flavor of the month.

Missed the point again?

Too bad?

Squelch that unhealthy thought.

No child of God is a loser.

How can we be losers when our father is the Most High God?

Sure life is hard. Debt is high and money seems to have  wings.

Pray a prayer of faith  and believe like Habakkuk did.

In chapter 3, he says even though there is no fruit on the trees, and no meat, no provision to be had yet he says he will rejoice and joy in the God of his salvation.

He knew God will not leave him or his people destitute.

God will always provide.

His name is Jehovah – jireh

The Lord will provide.

Overlooked again?

Invisible in a crowd.

Forgotten by those who know you or claim to love you.

God made a promise to his people, but now, since Christ died for us, we, too, are God’s people. We are children of God, so that promise is for us too.

God says even when others forget you, “yet will  I not forget you.” Isaiah 49 verse 15.

Writing…

What’s your dream job?

I love to write romantic fiction and I like blogging.

My dream is to get paid well enough for my work so I can sustain my lifestyle with plenty left over to help my loved ones and maybe others I know in need.

Overlooked

Sometimes, you may feel like you seem to fade into the background, where no one can  see you.

You think if you just do something great, say something snappy or even witty to get good attention, then people will see you. They will know you, know your name.

But life doesn’t work like that. People either like you, gravate to you, or maybe they just don’t.

Being overlooked is not anything anyone wants to be.

We all want to be seen.

We all want to be heard.

Silence can be deafening.

Silence can be painful and lonely.

If you are a child of God, you are blessed.

You are never alone or overlooked.

All of God’s children have a voice.

A voice that God gave to us so we can use it to call out from that lonely place for help for guidance for companionship.

God hears.

He answers.

He knows you.

He sees you.

He remembers his promise forever concerning you. Psalm 105 verse 8.

God says in the Bible, which is his word.

Behold I have graven you upon the palms of my hands. Isaiah 49 verse 16.

He remembers you.

He remembers his child and looks out for you like the father in the story of the prodigal son. God is prepared for you. Like that father,he can see you at a distance. And will have compassion and run to you with arms wide open.

He is waiting for you.

He cares when others don’t….

Compassion and fairness

What makes a good leader?

I think those two words speak for themselves.

The person has to listen first before drawing conclusions. That is the best way to show compassion and fairness.

After surgery

Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved?

I recently had surgery. During recovery in the hospital, my sister helped me to get dressed, or so it would appear. She turned my pants inside out. Helped to put my legs in one of the legs of my pants. I was in pain, but she was trying so hard I could not get mad. It was day surgery, so I had to leave that same day if all went well. And all went well, thank God.

She waited for me all day. Imagine that.

At home, things got even worse. I had two sisters helping me. Oh my, my, my…

Let me say that on the first two days, when I needed help to get dressed, I wished there was another way. By the time they finished with me, I felt like a pretzel. I didn’t know pants went on like that. After the third day, I refused help.

But through it all I felt cared for by my family. The effort they put in, the kind words were what I needed.

The main fact is that the Lord brought me through the surgery and recovery with much love. I feel loved by my heavenly Father for giving me great sisters to mess me up and those other sisters who prayed for me from afar.

All joking aside, they are the best sisters.
