When you have a clean heart before God and do what is right by walking in all His ways, there will be nothing to fear when hardships come. He promised to guide your steps. He will make a way where there is no way. He will provide for your every need because you trust in Him.
For then shalt thou lift up they face without spot yea, thou shalt be steadfast, and shalt not fear because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away. Job 11: 15, 16
On the Lord’s Day, we remember Him. Like those women who early on the first day of the week came to prepare the body of the Lord with spices and ointment as it was the custom in burial, we today remember the Lord in praise and thanksgiving. We muse on his beauty as the Son of God, his work on this earth, his death, burial, resurrection and position now in Glory. We recall Jesus Christ, the Son of God’s love.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Hebrews 2 verse 9.
This is a request not a command. The Lord does not make a demand.
It is not a rule. It is an act that should be done out of love and devotion.
Luke 22 verse 19
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, this is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
When you have confidence in the Lord your strength is renewed, boldness is acquired, and words open doors.
The Lord is a light for your feet, and a guide for your path.
In the Lord you can trust.
In the Lord you can find rest.
In the Lord there is peace.
With the Lord there is power, and there is safety.
And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, be not ye afraid of them remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your house. Nehemiah 4 verse 14.
Don’t be afraid when things get overwhelming. God is not a halfway God; what He promises, He will fulfill. There is no adding to it or taking away from it. His ways are mysterious and sure. When we fall on our knees to pray for help and strength, God immediately goes to work. We have only to stop, believe and see the power of His loving kindness.
We battle with so many things, also sometimes people and their opinions. We must remember nothing is too much or too hard for the Lord to handle. We have a heavenly Father who will move heaven and earth for us. It is God who will fight for us. When we are hurt in mind, body or spirit He will defend us.
