I will accept it

What is your mission?

My mission is to keep myself healthy in different areas of my life.

With regards my body by eating the right foods with good nutritional value. Also I have to stay clear of too many second helpings. One piece pie tastes the same as the other.

As for my mind, I need to think before I speak. I always put my foot in my mouth by saying the wrong things, but also, I need to watch my tone so as to not offend others easily. Showing some compassion goes a long way.

The last of my mission is to take a closer walk with the Lord and be a good ambassador of Jesus Christ. Being mindful of my time helps me to redeem it moment by moment, and therefore, I will keep myself healthy in different areas of my life

An Everlasting Love

God’s love is greater than my understanding. Why he loves me is unbelievable. Before the world began, he loved me with an eternal, undying love.

Who am I that he should favor me?

Who am I that he sees me and cares for me with unmerited affection?

I am nothing before the Creator before the Lord of life, and yet he could condescending to think of me.

I love him because he first loved me.

Isaiah 43 verse 4

Since you were precious in my sight… I have loved you.

A blessing for some but not for all.

What are your thoughts on the concept of living a very long life?

I believe a long life can be a blessing if you live it well.

I’m not saying live it up partying and carrying on, although if the lifespan is over 100 years, goofing around might be a little difficult.

Living well is taking care of yourself in the body, mind, and spirit. I read recently that the oldest lady in Japan was active even in her eighties, hiking and walking. She contributed her longevity to eating well and being active. Good for her but then she died.

The other lady in Brazil believes it is a gift from God. He is the one that is blessing her, so she remains active in her church community.

Studies show that people who take care of themselves, especially those who are active in their religious communities and beliefs live about ten years longer than the average person.

Amen to that.

I believe that living long is a blessing from the Lord and that living independently financial, mentally, physically, and emotionally is a double blessing.

But none of us know when our time is up on this earth, so living a good life, a life without regrets, and without offending or harming others is a blessed and pleasing life indeed.

Amen.

Do you only pray to get something?

Sometimes, it is good to pray for giving thanks sake. We don’t have to ask to receive. We can also give him praise because of what he has done but also for who he is. Or we can give thanks because of what he means to us.

Prayer is our way of talking to God. We should make the most of it.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will i praise him.Psalm 28 verse 7.

Why does God’s promise never to leave us?

We must have some serious separation issues, or we just feel lonely often.

I am checking and hope to deeply  investigate the claim that there are over 100 verses quoting God’s promise to never leave us.

We receive it in the Bible directly from God’s words or from the evidence or testimony of those of faith.

I’m not sure if this number is  correct, but i know these words are repeated often. When something is repeated over and over again, there is great value to those words.

Promises, Promises All God’s Promises

It is a universal fact that people fail to keep their word.

But God is the Almighty, and he can never go back on his word.

There shall not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life. God said, “I will not fail you nor forsake you.”

Joshua 1 verse 5

A little of both…but i think too much

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

Sometimes, it is hard to think too much about the future because of fear.

Like everyone, I have dreams, dreams about the future, and what can be possible.

But thinking too much of the future sends a shiver of dread and excitement up and down my spine because I have no control over what I can not see.

Having no control is scary because things can happen without me being at the helm and without a helmet.

Yet it can be exciting because there are new and wonderful adventures to explore.

Dont get me wrong you need to make plans and it is great to make plans and modify them as time goes by with what works and what doesn’t work, but jumping ahead all the time makes me feel out of body. I need to live in the present and work on this moment in order to succeed and fulfill my future.

Likewise, I dwell on the past in order to improve my present and to learn what is the best way to my future.

All things aside, the present is what I have, so I need to enjoy it and try not to mess it up for the future.

The best way for me to do that is to have a good balance by giving  thanks in the  present for all that is past and to trust for all that is to come.

Everything is about trust.

He will do the Same For You

Don’t be selfish.

When others move forward in health, finances, or lifestyle, rejoice with them for the same God who blessed them will bless you too.

Look at Job from the Bible. He received blessings after he prayed for his friends.

And the Lord turned the captivity of Job when prayed for his friends; also, the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. Job 42 verse 10.

I am learning just like you, my friend, to wait and trust God. He has not forgotten you. It is just not your time, not yet, but soon.

What does God’s words mean to you?

When you read in the Bible about God and what he says, do you really believe?

Are you going through the motions of being a good Christian, nodding yes because you are expected to?

Or do you really believe his words? Do you think he can do what he says he can?

Are you seeing him as a God only to be worshipped from a far and not as a personal Beloved of your heart?

Can you see him as also your God to be trusted?

Is it difficult to put your trust in something you can not see, can not touch, or can not hear?

If this is a problem, then you will need to question your stance as a believer.

With God, trust is the pillar of a relationship with him. It is the foundation of everything connected to a life with God and with him at the center.

If you can not trust him, then how can you believe you are saved?

How can you call on Him for help?

How do you know you will go to heaven when you die?

Again…

Who is God to you?

For I am the Lord your God, the holy One… your Savior…

Isaiah 43 verse 2

Joshua says it beautifully…

Choose you this day whom you will serve as for me and my house we will seve the Lord.

Joshua 24 verse 15.

God, My Protector

Who is best to take care of you?

He is in control and knows the end of your journey before you even start out.

He is Jehovah Shomri. God, my protector.

God promises:

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: (Life is hard but God will lead you through it, even when things get overwhelming) when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you.

You may not get to skirt some  problems, but he will be there with you in the situation just like that fourth man in the fire.

Adapted from Isaiah 43 verse 2

( If you do not know about the fourth man in the fire, read the book of Daniel)
