For The Moment…64

O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with voice of triumph.

Psalm 47 verse 1

Because we believe, we praise the Lord.

The Lord is great.

The Lord is the one we serve.

Praise Him for not only what He has done but also for who He is.

He is the most high God, the almighty.

For The Moment…63

When God works for you, who can stop it?

Before time began, God existed. There is no beginning to His kingdom, and there is no end. He sits on His throne and rules over everything.

When He makes a promise, there is no one who can stop it. His mind is fixed, and His hand is stretched out to deliver His people.

Like a loving father cherishing His children, so too God loves His people. The same God who makes a path in the sea. A way in the mighty waters, in the storm to safety.  He is our father.

Great is our God.

Thus saith the Lord, which make the a way in the sea; and a path in the mighty waters. Remember, ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing.

Isaiah 43 verses 16 to 19.

For The Moment…62

He prepares everything for those who love Him.

He promised to go ahead and make the path straight. He will walk with you through the waters of destruction and be with you even in the fire so the flames will not burn.

He will guide you with His eyes upon you so you have never to be afraid.

These promises are His to make because He can never lie because He is God.

Of His love, there is no end and no beginning. It is as eternal and infinite as He is real, as He is true.

Lift upon your eyes on high. Lift up your heart and see the beauty of my Lord.

Is not His name Wonderful?

( Adapted from Psalm 46 and Isaiah 40, 41, and 42)

For The Moment…61

My tongue should always speak the truth.

My mouth shall not send out curses but blessing.

The way I walk and talk should please God that I do not fall into temptation.

I should have a song in my mouth and ready words of praise for my Lord.

My heart is inviting a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is a pen of a ready writer.

Psalm 45 verse 1

For The Moment…60

Awake, why steepest thou, O Lord?

Psalm 44 verse 23

With all reverence, there are times when I feel the Lord is silent. I think in my heart he does not hear me.

I wonder if I am worthy to receive a blessing or a positive answer. Do I have his favor? I am so far gone in my life he will not hear me?

Others are receiving, and yet I am not receiving. Has he forgotten me? Maybe I am living a life not pleasing to him? Maybe I haven’t confessed my sins.

Then I remember His word he will never leave or forsake me.

Wait on the Lord, and he will bring it to pass.

For The Moment…59

I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.but thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us. In God, we boast all the day long and praise thy name forever. Selah.

Psalm 44 verses 6 to 8

Elohim Shomri means God is our protector. When we know this, we live in faith and trust that He has us safe and secure.  Nothing can harm us.

For The Moment…58

I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Psalm 43 verse 5

What is on the inside, the essence of the heart, and the thoughts of the mind shows on the outside.

Guide your thoughts. Be of a pure mind. Anger and despair become tangible things when you constantly think about a dark thought and feed on it daily.

That same dark thought becomes reality in which there is no escape, where there is no freedom and where happiness becomes a thing of the past.

Be emerged with His word so that light and hope can grow from within and shine out from your heart. Your  face will be radiant with an inner peace and beauty only God can give.

For The Moment…57

Deep within the recesses of my heart, the Lord is the object of  my musings.

My soul is drawn to run after Him because His love is better than wine.

I will rejoice and be glad as I remember His love.

His words are more sweet. Yes, He is altogether lovely.

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God

Psalm 42 verse 1 and Song of Solomon 1.

For The Moment…56

Betrayal is an unsavory dish. Something that turns the heart to stone.

We never see it coming, too caught up in the sweet words of a friend.

We break bread together, we drink, we make merry, and yet that  person disguised like a friend continues to plot our demise.

Yes, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

Psalm 41 verse 9.

As true followers of Jesus Christ, we must never have two faces. The Lord was betrayed by a friend, and that so called friend’s end was eternal doom.

We must always have the mind of Christ and show love and compassion.

For The Moment…55

Compassion is at the forefront of being a true believer and follower of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus walked this earth,

He was moved with compassion for so many who came to Him for help that He helped them. He helped them and asked for nothing for Himself.

To be like Christ, we have to behave like Him, then we will be His deciples in thought, word, and deed.

Blessed is he that considers the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

Psalm 41 verse 1.
