Some Historical Facts about Easter

Hope and Faith

Easter in Christianity is a celebration of the resurrection of Christ.

This time is about his victory over death, Hell, Satan, and the grave.

His death, burial, and resurrection are all contemplated along with his life while here on earth,

The Easter egg represents new life and rebirth. Early Christians in Mesopotamia dyed eggs red to symbolize the blood of Jesus.

And Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life.” John 11 verse 25.

God’s Word is Yes and Amen

Yet TO BE # 304

The Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

His benefits and blessings are renewed every day.

Of his lovingkindness, there is no end.

Trust him where you cannot trace him, where things seem bleak.

When the way seems dim.

When the path to walk looks dark, impassible.

There is no God like him.

There is no help like his aid.

Take that leap of faith and trust in a God who fulfills all his promises.

A God whose love is everlasting.

And his word is yea and amen.

God Knows You

Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee…Jeremiah 1 verse 5a

The eyes of God are always on you.

He guides you in the right way you should go.

You are special and wonderfully made; unique.

There is no other like you on this earth.

Chosen by the most high God to be his special gift.

Chosen before you were conceived.

He knew you before you even knew yourself or before you were known by others.

Whatever you need, he will provide.

Whatever your desire, he will fulfill.

His ways become your ways.

His words become sweet.

He is altogether lovely.

He is your friend.

He Is Able To Keep You Safe…

Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the Lord; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar. Jeremiah 30 verse 10A.

Or

Therefore fear thou not, O my child of God…

I will save you from afar.

God may not be physically here as in flesh and blood, but his arm is not short.

And his promises are real.

His promises are true.

He is still able to save.

He can still keep you safe.

Fear Not the Ides of March

For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17 verse 8.

No matter the circumstances.

No matter what is happening in the world today; war or rumors of war, poor economy, inflation or natural disasters;

God will see us through.

He protects his own.

He cares for his children.

He will never leave us or forsake us.

A thousand shall fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand and it will not come near us.

We only need to believe.

Neither Good or Bad

They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.  Jeremiah 10 verse 5.

Some people are good, and in all appearances, they do well.

They are not the ones to fear.

They will do nothing; they will say nothing, nor do they see anything.

They have no life within them.

They will neither be against you or be for you.

They are like a vapor; here, one moment, then gone the next as if the vapor never existed.

Be Not Afraid.

Be not afraid of their faces for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. Jeremiah 1 verse 8.

Slip your hand in mine as I walk with you.

Put your full trust in me, and you will never be disappointed.

Says the Lord my God.

Praise the Lord.

From the sun’s rising to the same setting, praise the Lord.

Obedient from first to last, he came to do the Father’s will.

He knew he would shed his blood for the sins of the world.

He knew that on the cross, he would be forsaken by God because of God’s holiness and how God can not look upon sin.

Yet, he died on the cross.

And God pleased with the son of his love, raised him from the dead.

And placed him at his right hand in heaven. There, he lives.

Behold my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him. Matthew 12 verse 18.

Fear Not

For not for thou shalt not be ashamed neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shamed. Isaiah 54 verse 4

When People Disapprove..

People may voice their disapproval with you when you walk in faith with the Lord.

Don’t worry about them.

Keep believing in the Lord and trust him where you can not trace Him.

He will keep you safe and be your salvation forever.

Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

Isaiah 51: 7
