Fear Not – Peace Be Still

There is no God like this everlasting God we serve.

YET TO BE #234

And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel…1 Samuel 23 verse 17.

(David was anointed King and promised by God the throne. In this chapter of the book of Samuel, King Saul’s son Jonathan assures David he will be king no matter how much Saul, his father, seeks to murder him. God uses Jonathan to remind David of his future.
Sadly, Jonathan later breaks the covenant and remains with his father even unto his death.)

Storms may rise and threaten to destroy all hope and promises.
But God is in control.
He calms the storms of life with a wave of His hand.
He creates a dry path to walk in the seas of trouble and makes bridges of hope for the future.
There is no God like this everlasting God we serve.
What is to be, will be, and no one can hinder His work.
Therefore, be not deceived when God makes a promise He will fulfill His word.

Fear Not – Abide With Me

Yet To Be # 233

Abide thou with me, fear not, for he that seeks my life seeks thy life; but with me thou shalt be in safeguard. 1 Samuel 22 verse 23.

It is a blessing to give refuge to those in need. The spirit and the flesh is weak, but the heart is warm. The soul is fat with gratitude and hope. Give, for the Lord of life will bless you and safeguard your going out and your coming in.

Fear Not There is Forgiveness

He is a forgiving God.

Yet To Be # 232

And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not ye have done all this wickedness; yet turn not aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. 1 Samuel 12 verse 20

Fear not; there is forgiveness with the Lord.
If you turn to Him and seek Him with all your heart, He will be found.
He is a forgiving God.

Fear Not – There is Torment

It cannot rule, nor can it even exist when you put your trust in the Lord.

Yet To Be # 231

Fear has torment. (1 John 4 verse 18 -20)
Torment is severe physical or mental suffering. (Oxford Dictionary)
But perfect love gets rid of every fear.
With God in control, fear takes a back seat.
It cannot rule, nor can it even exist when you put your trust in the Lord.

Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it. 1 Samuel 4 verse 20.

Fear Not – For What is Fear?

Fear has torment

Snow Day

What is fear?
Fear is a strong emotion exhibiting a few physical responses such as high blood pressure, increased heart rate, shortness of breath, and sweating.
“Fear is the oldest and strongest emotion, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is the fear of the unknown.”
No wonder fear has torment.

And the Lord said unto him, Peace be unto thee: fear not, thou shalt not die. Judges 6 verse 23

(reference: 1 John 4 verse 18 and Oxford Dictionary)

Fear Not – Be Encouraged

Yet To be # 229

And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. Judges 4 verse 18

Words of encouragement are part of a language that builds strength.

We all need a kind word now and again.

And kindness is always rewarded.

Fear Not Because of Them…

YET TO BE # 228

God is in control, and there is nothing too great for Him to defeat. Joshua 11 verse 6

Fear Not, Neither Be Dismayed

Be strong and of good courage

Yet To Be # 226

The battle is the Lord’s.

He will fight for you, and nothing shall stay His hand.

And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom you fight. Joshua 10 verse 25.

Fear Not God Is A Present Help

Fear them not…there shall not a man of them stand before thee

Yet To Be # 225

God is our helper.

He hears our cries before we call on His name.

He knows our needs and understands our every circumstance.

He is our God, full of compassion and plenteous in mercy.

He will never let us down.

And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear them not; for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee. Joshua 10 verse 8

Fear Not – He Is Your Defender

Who shall His work withstand.

Yet To Be # 224

And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear not neither be thou dismayed : take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people and his city and his land. Joshua 8 verse 1

God prepares a way where there is no way.

Therefore, trust Him where you cannot trace Him.

When He makes bare His arm,

Who shall His work withstand?

When He His people’s cause defends,

Who then shall stay His hand? – P. Gerhardt, (1607 -76)
