In Praise of Love

Love never fails

Yet To Be #223

Many waters cannot quench love…

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels and have not charity I am become as a sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal.”

I may be articulate but, If there is no love behind my speeches, then they are mere words.

Though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains and have not charity, I am nothing.

I may be intelligent and spiritual in my approach to life, but if I do this all without love; I am nothing and my deeds are for nought.

Though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profits me nothing. 

I give to the poor, help those in need, but I do it for recognition, it is all for nothing if it is done without love.

Counting the ways of love:

True love shows patience despite troubles, is kind, is not fueled by envy, is not evil, does not look for self-praise, behaves with propriety, is not selfish, endures all, hopes for the best, is happy with doing what is right, and love never fails.

Fear Not – Be Strong

YET TO BE #222

The Lord is in control.

He knows the end from the beginning and all your deeds are written before hand.

So, don’t worry He has your back.

And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee, he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee, fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31 verse 8

Fear Not – You Are Never Alone…

YET TO BE # 221

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31 verse 6

He gives courage to the faint of heart and strength to the weak.

His ways are true.

His works are perfect.

He is altogether lovely.

Fear Not The New Day

Be strong and of good courage.

YET TO BE # 220

Ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies let not your hearts faint, fear not; and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; for the Lord your God is he that goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. Deuteronomy 20 verses 3 and 4

We find our strength in the Lord.

We listen to His words.

They say, “Be strong and courageous.  I am here with you always.”

Fear Not – Only Believe

He fights for you.

YET TO BE # 219

When you go out to battle against thine enemies, and sees horses, and chariots, and a people more than you, be not afraid of them: for the Lord thy God is with thee. Deuteronomy 20 verse 1

No one knows what a new day will bring.
Another day to hope with the assurance of that pending breakthrough.
Know this for sure He has never failed you.
In His own time, it is the right time.
He fights for you.

Fear Not – Battles Are Fought, Battles Are Won…

Yet To Be #217

Ye shall not fear them; for the Lord your God he shall fight for you. Deuteronomy 3:22

We have confidence in God knowing He defends us and fights all our battles. 

He is worthy to be praised. 

Fear Not- Whatever God Says He Will Do, It Will Be Done

God’s promises are true

Yet To Be # 216

And the Lord said unto me,

God promises are true…

Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land; into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon King of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. 

God delivers on his promise…

So, the Lord our God delivered into our hands Og also King of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining. Deuteronomy 3:2 & 3

Fear Not – He Fights For You

the enemy trembles at the mention of His name

Yet To Be # 215

You have a champion who makes the enemy tremble at the mention of His name.
He goes before the fight and makes all things right.
While you prepare for engagement, the battle is already won.
He ends it all with just a wave of His hand.
Our God is mighty in battle and victor overall.

Then I said unto you, dread not, neither be afraid of them.  Deuteronomy 1:29

The Lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you. Deuteronomy 1:30

Fear Not – God Wills It, So It Shall Be

What God promises, He fulfills.

Yet To Be # 214

What God promises, He fulfills.
When God gives you a gift, take that gift with both hands, and give thanks.
What He does, He does forever.
No one can take it away from you.
It is yours for all time.
God wills it, so it shall be.

Behold, the Lord thy God hath set the land before thee; go up possess it, as the Lord god of thy fathers hath said unto thee, fear not, neither be discouraged. Deuteronomy 1:21

Fear not- God Will Be the Judge

friendship should not cloud your mind.

Yet To Be # 213

When making decisions, friendship should not cloud your mind.
Don’t be afraid of the status of an individual.
Be fair as before the Lord and deal prudently with them.
The Lord is the one who guides and with His help,
Pause for a moment before laying down your conclusion.
God is the one who is the final judge.

Ye shall not respect persons in judgement; but ye shall hear the small as well as great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgement is God’s. Deuteronomy 1:17
