For The Moment…71

Don’t be afraid of those who have power, those who make decisions, those who rule over you, and control your advancement. These people are here on earth for a little while.  Like the cycle of life, everything comes to an end.

Man and his vain brief authority.

Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house increased; for when he dies, he shall carry nothing aqay: his glory shall not descend after him. Man, that is in honor and understands not, is like the beasts that perish.

Psalm 49 verses 16, 17,20.

Anxiety Can Strangle Faith

our faith is wrung tight and stretched in all directions until it is so thin, we worry about its efficacy.

Yet To Be #146

Anxiety creates stress which can be destructive to the body. High blood pressure, weakened immune system, mental health concerns as well as heart problems can develop. The prayer warrior is subjected to the emotional and physical shifts of anxiety. In fact, like any follower of Jesus Christ living in this present evil world, we face one challenge after another, while trying to be obedient to God.
We are tested every day. Our faith is wrung tight and stretched in all directions until it is so thin, we worry about its efficacy. But if we keep our eyes on the Lord and lean not onto our understanding, then we will come out on the other side of the trials, situations, or doubts, as fine, pure gold.

Casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8

Watch and pray that you enter not into temptation.

Prayer Warrior Watches

Be on the alert.
As we wait for Him to answer, to accept our praise, our thanksgiving, we are to watch for Him, to look to Him.
Not waiting with anxiety but remaining positive.
There should be anticipation in our eyes and our words as we talk with him.
He is our friend, our guide, our master.
Not to be commanded by us.
Not to be persuaded by well-designed words.
He is touched by the feelings of our infirmities and knows all things.
Thus, he cannot deny himself the compassion he has for his children.
Knowing this, we need to wait in simple faith and take heed.
Lest a little slumber, a little sleep our confidence begins to dwindle in quietness.
Our eyes can skip off from him.
Temptation can loom large before our sight with the lazy smile of seduction.
Without a doubt, we can slip, lose our stance and stumble headlong into the trap of the enemy.
Best to remain vigilant with our eyes fixed on Him, always alert and on the lookout knowing with all confidence and certainty, he answers all our prayers.

Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41

Stress and Life

encouraging words makes him feel good.

Life is a road we must travel

Life is a road. Sometimes the road is rough and as we travel on it, we can get anxious or weighed down by the many bumps and curves.

Anxiety is a natural response to stress which at times can lead to fear and apprehension having a sense of impending danger, panic or doom.

The Bible says, “heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop; but a good word maketh it glad”. Proverbs 12 verse 25

Plainly spoken, “anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but encouraging words makes him feel good”.

Sometimes talking to someone or even saying kind words to others helps to lift the spirit.

We all need to feel good and encouraged as we walk the path of life.

Destressing life = use encouraging words
