Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters. Behold; I will do a new thing now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? Isaiah 43 verse 16, 19
If we believe in God and trust what He says, He will find a solution when it seems impossible. Unlike us, we struggle to find solutions to difficult situations, but God can make a way even when there is no way. He can do whatever is necessary to keep us safe and provide for us.
Yet To Be # 307 – Remembered in our hearts all waysnot just at Easter.
What is the significance of Palm Sunday?
It is a Christian celebration with its origin in Biblical times.
Matthew 21 verses 1 to 9 and John 12 verses 12 to 16.
And when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Zion, behold, thy king cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. Isaiah 62 verse 11.
Jesus traveled through the city of Jerusalem on a simple donkey. The crowds cast palm branches along his path, crying Hosanna in the highest.
Hosanna means Pray, save us.
In Biblical times a King would ride into the city on a horse as a symbol of war, but when he entered the city on a donkey, it was considered a symbol of peace.
Jesus riding on the donkey is seen as the Messiah coming to his people in peace.
He came to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19 verse 10
Public Journey to the Cross Part One is to be remembered not only at Easter but in our hearts all ways.
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. Jeremiah 17 verse 7
The Lord is Hope.
In him, we have everything we need.
With arms wide open he never refuses;
And never disappoints.
Where there is trust, hope follows.
Sometimes we cannot see the big picture, but if we look at the little things and see how easily they fall into place, we will glimpse that big picture.
But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. Isaiah 43 verse 1
God’s love is all-consuming.
His passions are from everlasting to everlasting.
When He speaks it is forever.
Everything He promises, He fulfills.
Whatever He does nothing and no one can alter it.
He gave to us the most precious gift of all; His only begotten son, the darling of his bosom to redeem us.
It is by His grace and His great desire to have us be with Him through all eternity.
We are nothing, yet God so loved us, the blood of His son, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God made us something.
Washed in the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb, we are His for all eternity.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12 verse 2.
Author of our Faith in the book of Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2 can be translated from the Greek language as captain or pioneer.
He is the first and the last; everything starts with him and ends with him.
He perfected our belief in God.
He is our example when it comes to trusting in God.
He totally relied on God the Father as the source of his blessing, the source of his existence;
being the only begotten son of God, coexistent, coequal, and coeternal with God.
He is our true example as the “captain” and “perfector” of our faith.
When I think about Christ, I see him as my Lord and Saviour. He is the son of God, the son of his love. His only begotten son was with him way back in eternity before the world began.
Matthew 22 verse 42
And Jesus asked them saying, What think you of Christ? Whose son is he?
This is a personal question deserving a personal response.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8 verses 38 and 39.
He loves us and cannot deny himself. He would do everything for his loved ones. Love, how can we count the ways of this emotion? His love is like no other. What can separate us from his love? Neither height nor depth nor death, Can separate us from the love of Christ. He longs for us to be together. To be in his presence for eternity. Where he is, we shall one day be there too.
