More About the Bible Leading to the Book of John: Part 1

Yet To Be #184

More about the Bible
The Bible is the most influential book named in the world. Translated into every known existing language, it is still read daily by large numbers of people around the world. The Bible is more than a so-called religious book filled with instructions for life and commandments to follow, it has changed lives, laid out foundations of many governments to follow, it is the basis on which judicial and educational institutions around the globe dedicate their code of conduct. In general, it chronicles the ancient promises to the Jewish people and their activities, but further historically, it is sometimes used as an anthropological bridge to help verify lost gaps of time for the dating of ancient events and people when no other script is accurate enough.
Whether you are a true Believer in God and his only son Jesus Christ or not, the Bible is the Word of God and is given “by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” The Bible is not just a book, but it tells God’s plans for mankind from the beginning of creation right to the future when the Son of God shall reign forever.

God’s Promise: Kindness forever

Touched by the feelings of our infirmities

Yet To Be #168

Knowing the Almighty God, the Creator of the universe cares for us surpasses all understanding.
He sent His only Son to suffer and die, to secure us for Himself.
His love reaches far, burning the very fringes of our minds and awakening our dark souls. There is no God like Him, gentle in mercy and plenteous in understanding.
Touched by the feelings of our infirmities, He cannot deny himself; so deep is His love, who can compare?

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. Isaiah 54:10

God’s Promises: He Will Never Forget You.

You are never forsaken

Yet To Be # 167

God said, “I have chosen you, and not cast you away.” Isaiah 41:9

You are not forgotten, never forsaken.
Chosen before the beginning of time.
You are beloved, the apple of his eye, accepted in His son, and cherished by His own heart.

God’s Promises: He will provide

Ask and it shall be given you

Yet To Be #161

In Him is the abundance of life, of soul, of body, of joy.
Not to worry, He will provide for all your needs.
Not one good thing will He withhold.
Take hold of this promise.
Claim it as your own.
Retell it in your mind.
Engrave it on your heart.
Soon without a doubt, you will understand what He means when He calls you; “beloved” because all His desires are towards you.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7 and 8

Work for him by spreading the good news of salvation.

Prayer Warrior and the End of Days

Being good and fair to others is a virtue that is dying a slow death. Soon we will be living in a world where instant gratification becomes the prize to success. There will be only one winner and everyone else, losers. A world where there are no half measures, only all or nothing, and love will be a passing emotion if used correctly may result in selfish benefits.

These are the end of days.

Times are coming when there will be wars and rumors of wars. When brother shall rise against brother, families will be torn apart, there will be constant chaos in the streets, and life as we know it will cease to be.
Rejoice. Now is not that time.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are still here on this earth, and the Son of Man has not yet returned. We are to work while it is still day because the night comes when no one can work. Work for Him by spreading the Good News of Salvation.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10

Once the Lord lays something on the heart, conviction mounts, the Holy Spirit impresses on the warrior to follow through in prayer.

The Prayer Warrior Requests

What should the warrior pray for when there are no prayer requests?
Should the warrior wait for the phone to ring, for a knock at the door, or divine intervention?
How does the warrior know when there is a need?
The Bible says, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. He knows the needs of all His children and all the creatures of this earth. The Lord is in control of the world economy and the state of every country. He allows leaders to gain power while at the same time topples mighty regimes with a single wave of his hand. God never sleeps, never checks out, and is always present in sickness, and health.
The God we serve is all-knowing, all-seeing, all present, full of compassion, mercy, and love. He is touched by the feelings of our infirmities, making it easy for the warrior to ask the Lord for a prayer assignment. Then, whatever the lot doled out, the warrior must accept it in faith and understanding.
Once the Lord lays something on the heart, conviction mounts, then the Holy Spirit impresses on the warrior to follow through in prayer.

My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me

Prayer Warrior Hears His Voice

Amidst all the noise and clattering of words, there are many voices to be heard.
The good voice that gives advice and comfort in a time of need.
The kind voice that claims all is well.
The angry voice that disputes a wrong.
Then, the vengeful voice that demands dark justice.
Strange voices are heard far too often, and yet above their deafening cacophony, His voice rings strong and sure in the ears of His children.
Those who are not His, have no ears to hear, no hands to lift in praise and no heart to understand the whispering surety of his words.
Words that call out to us in the day, in the night, so many times loud and clear, enough to drown the noise into silence.
And we know his voice when we listen for its tonality, its texture, and its vernacular, a dialect belonging solely to him.
A gentle sound saying, “You, child of mine, come, and let us two go forward.”

And your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, this is the way, walk you in it when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27

Doubt brings fear and fear’s reward is torment

Prayer Warrior: Stand Firm

Doubt brings fear and fear’s reward is torment.

Ask and we shall receive.

Seek and we should not doubt.

Knock and we must watch.

When we trust, answers come to pass.

And when we doubt, blessings are never born.

Why fear when the power in our prayers is to trust.

God said it so shall it be.

His truth is right.

His word is real.

“I the Lord have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back neither will I spare neither will I repent.” Ezekiel 24: 14

“God is not a man that he should lie.” Numbers 23:19

“So that by two unchangeable (immutable) things in which it is impossible for God to lie.” Hebrews 6:18
