From work…

Do you need a break? From what?

Don’t get me wrong, i like my job. There are some days I can honestly say I love my job.

Nevertheless, I do need a break from it once in a while.

I need to recharge my batteries; not that I have batteries as in a robot but I need a chance to sit back and take care of me by doing nothing.

I will enjoy that nothingness until I don’t.

Taking a me day.

Describe your most ideal day from beginning to end.

Wake up rested.

Lounge around before taking a shower.

Wait!!!!

Nope.

Skip the shower. It is my day after all.

Order in and watch tv all day catching up on my fav shows.

Go to bed when I want, full and replenished with a smile on my face.

Death does not take a holiday

How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

Kind of morbid, I know.

Still, after my parents passed I started taking  a good look at my life.

Life is short.

I have to live life well, spirtually, physically, and mentally.

Somethings are so trivial I need to look away and move on before they can stress me out.

We all know stress can kill. Stress can leave you tied up in knots you can never undo without help professionally or otherwise.

I am learning I cannot do life all by myself. I need someone to anchor me. So, I call out to the Lord for help and he provides someone all the time. He provides family or even a stranger to help me along my journey of life.

But best of all, God provides his word to see me through.

I am never alone.

In life I am learning to take time and to live it without regret.

After all the end can be near.

There must be an earlier way to make a living

What do you complain about the most?

I love my job…parts of it. But on those days when I get very little sleep the night before, I just want to curl up and stay in bed.

I need a nap before the work day ends.

But isn’t it weird how at quiting time I suddenly get a big boost of energy?

Passive income anyone?

Hockey…

What are your favorite sports to watch and play?

I like it.

Never played on ice only floor hockey when I was younger. I loved it then.

I like watching the sport. It is exciting. The players are fierce. Most of all it is a fast game. I love the speed.

It is a cold weather sport after all, and  I am Canadian.

About Money…right???

What would you do if you won the lottery?

If it is about the money.

Indeed, I would give God thanks for this blessing. Then, I take out a portion for the Lord and his service.

Finally, I will put it in the bank and huddle at home with my sisters making a plan of action.

Boom!

Debt gone.

Boom!

Nice nest egg for later in life.

Boom!

Help my other sisters and their kids.

Boom!

Give to those who help the forgotten people around the world.

Wait, this is a lottery about money right?

If it isn’t, I give it back!!!!

Ever read the short story, the Lottery by Shirley Jackson?

Well you don’t want that.

No thank you.

More like reread

What books do you want to read?

I enjoy a good English novel mostly   from the Victorian times. However, I do like earlier pieces and my favorites are some by Jane Austen.

I would like to reread Persuasion, Pride and Prejudice and Northanger Abbey.

I like her assembly of words, the situations each character finds themselves in and of course the plots of each novel.

This year is the 250th annversary of her birth December 16. This is a great time to reacquaint myself with some of her works.

Maybe I will read all six of her books.

Cooking…

What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time?

Yeah, I hate anything housework seeing  I am not domesticated. You will not catch me in the kitchen wearing pearls, high heels and a apron over some cute little black dress. Well maybe minus the high heels. They just hurt.

I do like to cook though.

On the weekends, I love to experiment on new recipes. I try new ones and give them to my family  to taste and critique.

I think cooking has become my calming place.

When I stumble onto a great, delish dish it becomes a keeper in my entertainment journal.

Elora Gorge

Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

The gorge is said to be beautiful with a spectaular view of the rushing waters of the Grand River below. The cliffs are high, and the drop is steep but breathtaking.

I have a painting of the gorge where the artist’s captivation of the area is haunting and yet alluring.

I am hoping to take a trip there maybe this summer dv.

Nothing

List five things you do for fun.

Nothing, nothing, more nothing, nap, and absolutely nothing.

That is the beauty of being free to relax and not worry about what people think about you.

You just be you.
