Yet To Be # 63

Rise up, my love and come away.

# 30 of 31 Walk in My Shoes…

Despair is a bottomless pit of darkness.

Where the icy fingers of fear caress the skin and misery  cuts deep into the bone.

Where there is an absence of emotion, the heart turns to stone.

We can do nothing but to look away from the hurt, from the pain.

From the fear and listen.

Listen clearly and hear that longing in His sacred melody;

That sweet honeyed song of Hope.

Saying, “Rise up, my love and come away.”

( reference: Song of Solomon 2 verse 10)

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 4 verse 23

Life is merely a moment in time we are given where we can please the Lord. Therefore, be cautious of negative emotions that can govern our actions. (Vicissitudes of Life, 2007)

Yet To Be #12

We cannot hoodwink God.

“If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean; yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me.”  Job 9 verse 30, 31

God sees the heart.  The sweet smile, soft words, tears when these emotions are not true but superficial (shallow and insincere).  God knows even when we are deceived by these own impressions. We cannot hoodwink God. (Vicissitudes of Life, 2007)
