Yet To Be # 60 & 61

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills

#27 /28 Where Did It All Go?

Too weary to think, to wish upon that star.

Dreams remain still and never born.

We go through the motions of praying, asking, begging even.

Faking belief when there are no eyes to see.

Not trusting, caring little or nothing of his desires.

The heart is hardened by the cruel hands of reality.

The soul is cold from the long years of waiting.

Believing in word only having no faith because works are dead.

Look up and see…

Who comes leaping on the winds of the morning?

Hope.

Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the Lord our God is salvation. Jeremiah 3 verse 23

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help.  Psalm 121 verse 1

The voice of my beloved. Behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. Song of Solomon 2 verse 8

Ride until the heart hears His voice saying fear not. I am with you.

# 25 of 31 Trust Him…

Trust Him where you cannot trace him – G. Feddoes

We look for purpose, a meaning in so many things,

But sometimes there are no answers, only more questions.

When the eyes are fixed merely on context.

When the knees are bent and aching through endless prayers;

And hope is lost in the dark caverns of gloom.

Don’t give up.

Hold tight to the hem of his garment,

And ride!

Ride until you see the light.

Ride until freedom over takes you.

Ride within His gentle hands where all doubts are squelched.

Ride until the heart hears His voice saying, “fear not. I am with you”.

Then and only then will you truly know, He’s got this.

“Fear not I have redeemed you. I have called you by my name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43 verse 1

Christ is our true hope.

Hope rocks some serious acquaintance.

What if it doesn’t happen?

What if time passes where days turn into weeks, week into months and months into years, and still there is nothing.

What then?

Does hope die?

Does faith fade?

Has it all been for nought? In vain, as we look up and see nothing?

Hope has no limits.

There is no ending to hoping, only a beginning and a forever.

Christ is our true hope.

He is the alpha and the omega; the first and the last.

In him we have redemption, salvation and life.

He came to give life and to give it abundantly.

There are no limits.

“O fear the Lord, you saints; for there is no want to them that fear Him.”  Psalm 34 verse 9

there is no stepping backwards, always moving ahead…

#19 of 31 It Will Come part 2

Hope is not now, but it is for the future.

If we have what we want, we do not have hope.

We do not need to have expectations, anticipation or to even look for hope because it is here.

When we look to the future with the eyes of hope, we look with optimism for the brightest and the best.

There is no stepping backwards, always moving ahead to the next stop with a full heart.

A heart that does not condemn, a soul that is right and a mind that is excited, because we know it will come.

“But if we hope for that we see not then do we with patience wait for it.” Romans 8 verse 25

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11 verse 1

without faith it is impossible to please God

#17 of 31 Why Hope?

“People need to have faith because they need hope.”

The need for hope is a soul wrenching desire to touch the infinite even when we are finite.

A need that has no boundaries, no roadblocks, nothing that could bar that light of expectation from bursting forth.

It is incredible and far beyond magnificent.

It is the impetus that keeps the weary heart beating, the silent lips praying and weak mind dreaming.

If faith is the moon than hope is the rising sun that chases the shadows away.

Without faith it is impossible to please the true and living God.

The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope for his people. Joel 3 verse 16

There is a wrong and a right even with hope.

# 16 of 31 False Hope, Again

False hope is based on ignorance, believing unrealistically, given to foolish expectations.

There is a wrong and a right, even with hope.

But what if you believe and have faith and ask doubting nothing, but trusting that these things will come to pass, is that not hope?

Hope at times is blind to reality.  It only sees the possible through the eyes of faith.

There is no vengeful desires with hope.

There is no consumption of lust.

There is no darkness in hope.

There is no fear with hope, because fear has torment.

There is only peace. This is the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.

Faith has no eyes to see with or ears to hear with

# 15 of 31 Faith Supports Hope

“Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope.” Acts 2 verse 26

In order to say and not only that, but to believe that there is hope in this world, faith must be engaged.

Faith is the underpinning of hope. And faith like a grain of mustard seed, multiples into an abundance of anticipation.

Faith has no eyes to see with or ears to hear with, but it exists because it believes when there is nothing but hope to rely on.

He is my anchor in the storm

#14 of 31 False Hope?

What if hope is false? What is with great expectations comes great disappointments?

What if indeed?

Surely there is an end and (my) expectancy shall not be cut off.  I live in faith for my soul waits upon God, and my expectation is from Him.  (Proverbs 23 verse 18 and Psalm 6 verse 25)

He is my hope, my anchor in the storm, therefore I can trust in Him.

This is true Hope without falsehood.

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

#9 of 31 Hope and Doubt Again

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers (doubts) is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think he shall receiver any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1 verse 6-8

Doubt is a long and dark path the heart veers onto from time to time.  A path where there is no light for guidance, no light to see the way, a way that will surly end in a void filled with fear, disbelief and despair.

A void so vast it threatens to encompass and to destroy the mighty prospects and wishes only hopefulness can afford.

The evidence of things not seen.

# 5 of 31 Hope and Faith

“Even in the inevitable moments when all seems hopeless, men know that without hope they cannot really live and in agonizing desperation they cry for the bread of hope.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr

Waiting with baited anticipation, we believe and we trust in something good.

The surety of hope is the firm foundation on which faith stands.

Without faith we cannot believe and without believing there is no hope.

“Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11 verse 1
