For The Moment…84

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.

Psalm 66 verse 18

Who do we think we are praying to the Lord without sincerity?

We are fake in compassion and evil lurks in the corners of our hearts. We have offenses we have not confessed whereby we wish to give evil for evil.

Who are we to come before a holy God with dirty hands trying to justify our actions?

We are nothing. We must learn to bring our sins or problems our heavy hearts to him. Open our minds and confess our wrongdoings, and leave them at his feet. Let the Lord fight for us. Let him take vengeance for us. He understands and knows what is best.

Forgiveness is not easy, but by taking that first step towards the Lord is a leap in the right direction.

For The Moment…23

His mercy endures forever.

God delivered me from mine enemies: yes, he lifted me up above those that rise up against me. Therefore, will I give thanks unto the Lord and sing praises to his name.

He is an all forgiving God. His mercy endures forever. ( adapted from Psalm 18 verses 48 and 49, Psalm 118 and Psalm 136 verses 1 to 9.

Judgment of The Godless

Yet To Be #278

The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. Isaiah 17 verse 2

In the book of Isaiah the prophet foretold the invasion of the Assyrian army and the fall of Israel as a warning to God’s people because of their Godless ways.

God is holy and cannot look upon sin.

He deals in righteous judgment on the just and the unjust.

He knows we are not perfect and remembers that we easily make mistakes.

Nevertheless, God loves us and sent his only begotten son so that we can be saved from the wrath to come and be brought back to him in grace.

Those who confess Jesus as Lord and Saviour, are then called Children of God.

For those who reject Jesus as Saviour and Lord, they will not be spending eternity with God but will be cast out into eternal darkness where “the worm dies not, neither is the fire quenched.”

Salvation is only through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ the Lord.

God’s Promises: You will be remembered.

When the cold, dank scene of aloneness is the only place found where you head can rest; it is time to call upon the Lord.

Yet To Be # 165

Remembrance is a precious gift of honoring those loved, respected, cherished, or merely liked.
It is the act of looking back and preserving moments, words spoken, and actions taken.
The bitter sting of loneliness sets in when you are lost within a crowded sphere.
Your deeds are not mentioned.
Even your existence seems to be wiped clean from the memory of friends.
When the cold, dank scene of aloneness is the only place found where your head can rest.
It is time to call upon the Lord.
The One who forgives sins and wipes away all tears from your eyes.
The One who gives comfort to the brokenhearted, healing to the disparaged soul, brings cheer to the sorrowing,
And yet all the while promising never to leave or forsake you.
His love is real because He can never forget to remember.

“I formed you; you are my servant…you shall not be forgotten of me.” Isaiah 44:21

7 Simple Steps Towards Forgiving: Is It Hard to Forgive?

There is no escaping the bitterness that follows any act of betrayal.

Why Do People Pray?

Yet To Be #147

It is hard to forgive when the feeling of betrayal is buried deep within the heart.

There is no escaping the bitterness that follows any act of betrayal.

It empties the heart of comfort and light while stealing the soul of any love and joy. Dark seeds take root and bloom; then quickly multiply as anger, hate, and revenge. Soon, they spread far and fester like a disease without a cure.

7 Simple Steps to Help When Forgiving Others:

  1. Don’t give in. “Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit is willing but, the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41
  2. Look to the Lord for strength. “I will lift up my eyes unto the hills from whence comes my strength, my strength comes from the Lord.” Psalm 121: 1 and 2
  3. Look to the Lord for help. “God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
  4. Do not take matters into your own hands. “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it
  5. is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” Romans 12:19 and “Devise not evil against your neighbor.” Proverbs 3:29
  6. Ask the Lord for guidance. “In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:6
  7. Leave all the pain and anger at the throne of grace. If you forgive others our heavenly Father will also forgive us and His peace that surpasses all understanding will garrison our hearts and minds. Matthew 6:14 and 15, Mark 11:25.
  8. Sometimes it is easier said than it is to do. We need to take one day at a time. “Take therefore no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.” Matthew 6:34.

God’s love is great and forgiving

When God is Love

“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins and clothed them.” Genesis 3 verse 21

God’s love is great and forgiving, even amidst the worse situation His lovingkindness surpasses understanding. Adam and Eve were afraid of God because they knew they had sinned, so they ran from Him and hid themselves.  But God found them and with His own hands in simple and pure love, made coverings for them, so that they could come back into His presence without shame.

How easy it is to wish another evil

Seek good and not evil, that ye may live: and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.  Amos 5 verse 14

How easy it is to wish another evil especially when we are hurt. How about that promotion that should have been yours? How about the paper that you know was worth an “A” but you got a “B”? Did you receive that than you for a work will done? Did not our Lord receive evil for good?  Did He not say forgive them? When are we going to stop saying it is hard, when we know that He is there to help?

Hope never dies

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.  1Peter 1 verse 3

Hope means expectation, desire, something to look forward to; hope never dies. Christ is our hope. Mercy means compassion, forgiveness, kindness.  God has granted these favours on us – He sent His son to die for us. He raised His son from the dead so that we can live forever.
