What Do You Think About Christ?

This is a personal question…

Yet To Be #267

When I think about Christ, I see him as my Lord and Saviour.
He is the son of God, the son of his love.
His only begotten son was with him way back in eternity before the world began.

Matthew 22 verse 42

And Jesus asked them saying, What think you of Christ? Whose son is he?

This is a personal question deserving a personal response.

Fear Not God Will Give You Strength

God is not a man that he could lie.

Yet To Be #258

The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. Psalm 29 verse 11

God’s promises are forever.
His yes is yes, and his no is no.
He will never turn back on His word because He cannot tell a lie.

God is not a man, that he should lie. Numbers 23 verse 19.

Joy in Knowing Jesus

There is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents

Yet To Be

In the weakest of moments I look away, down instead of up, and see nothing.
If there is a tiny speck of light, I don’t see it because I look at my circumstances and their harsh limitations.
How cruel to be born, grow, gain, lose, and then die, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
How evil it is to despair. So easy it is to sink into the dark corners of the mind, to give into a depression where the soul is robbed of faith, and the heart becomes too afraid to believe.
It is a vengeful spirit that must not exist.
It is a evil that must never win.
The battle belongs to God.
He fights for us and will never fail.
Within the presence of God, there is peace, rest, joy, and love:
A love which dispels all fears. A love which brightens even the darkest nights with strength and with hope.

There is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. Luke 15 verse 7

The Coming of the Messiah

Unto us, a child is born.

Unto us, a child is born. (Isaiah 9 verse 6)
In Bethlehem of Judea, a boy child was born to a virgin, and they called his name Jesus.
As the shepherds rejoiced and the wise men gave homage to the child, we too celebrate our Saviour, the Lord.
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, and goodwill towards men. (Luke 2 verses 13 and 14)

Uncertainty

I know the thoughts that I think toward you

Yet To Be #193

The old year exits while a new one enters.
The future holds promise, disappointment, sorrow, or joy.
Uncertainty looms large.
We bow blinded by the experiences of the past.
Toil to seek the best possible outcome as we stumble aimlessly in the dark.
Yet, there is hope.
Hope which rises, not compressed, not stamped out.
It stands eternal in our hearts.
Anticipation brightens the eyes and lightens the path.
When there is hope, there is life.
When there is life, there is God, the Master, the Creator, our heavenly Father.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (KJV) or to give you a future and a hope. (ESV) Jeremiah 29:11

More About the Bible Leading to the Book of John: Part 1

More about the Bible
The Bible is the most influential book named in the world. Translated into every known existing language, it is still read daily by large numbers of people around the world. The Bible is more than a so-called religious book filled with instructions for life and commandments to follow, it has changed lives, laid out foundations of many governments to follow, it is the basis on which judicial and educational institutions around the globe dedicate their code of conduct. In general, it chronicles the ancient promises to the Jewish people and their activities, but further historically, it is sometimes used as an anthropological bridge to help verify lost gaps of time for the dating of ancient events and people when no other script is accurate enough.
Whether you are a true Believer in God and his only son Jesus Christ or not, the Bible is the Word of God and is given “by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” The Bible is not just a book, but it tells God’s plans for mankind from the beginning of creation right to the future when the Son of God shall reign forever.

4 Simple Reasons For Counting Blessings

Blessings are the destroyers of discouragement.

Yet To Be #149

They Live – counting each blessing allows us to name them. Giving every blessing a label gives it life. It becomes tangible evide6nce of His mercy, grace, and love towards us.

Destroyers of Discouragement – naming each blessing drives any discouragement, dark thoughts, self-pity, depression, or sorrow away. Every blessing is a symbol of hope in this dark and evil world.

Unforgettable – every blessing is a gift or favor from God. We come to realize and acknowledge His faithfulness. We are not forsaken or forgotten.

Blessings Galore – naming one blessing multiplies into many. We think of one then another comes to mind, and soon we see that God is most generous with His love towards us.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. James 1:17

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits. Psalm 68:19

Work for him by spreading the good news of salvation.

Prayer Warrior and the End of Days

Being good and fair to others is a virtue that is dying a slow death. Soon we will be living in a world where instant gratification becomes the prize to success. There will be only one winner and everyone else, losers. A world where there are no half measures, only all or nothing, and love will be a passing emotion if used correctly may result in selfish benefits.

These are the end of days.

Times are coming when there will be wars and rumors of wars. When brother shall rise against brother, families will be torn apart, there will be constant chaos in the streets, and life as we know it will cease to be.
Rejoice. Now is not that time.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are still here on this earth, and the Son of Man has not yet returned. We are to work while it is still day because the night comes when no one can work. Work for Him by spreading the Good News of Salvation.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10

also take time to remember the warrior wo talked to the Lord on your behalf.

Prayer Warrior Gratitude

Gratitude is a delicate state of mind. “A quality of being thankful, ready to show appreciation and to return kindness.”
A need for prayer is requested.
Words to the Lord ascend in compassion and love.
An answer is given and received time passes, and the waiting continues.
Where is the attitude of gratitude?
Where are the words of kindness?
Where is the giving of thanks?
Always give thanks to the Lord for His goodness.
But also take time to remember the warrior who talked to the Lord on your behalf.
Let us weep, sit, commiserate, and rejoice together, lest we forget to be grateful to those who pray for our needs.

And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God save this stranger. Luke 17: 17 and 18

Once the Lord lays something on the heart, conviction mounts, the Holy Spirit impresses on the warrior to follow through in prayer.

The Prayer Warrior Requests

What should the warrior pray for when there are no prayer requests?
Should the warrior wait for the phone to ring, for a knock at the door, or divine intervention?
How does the warrior know when there is a need?
The Bible says, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. He knows the needs of all His children and all the creatures of this earth. The Lord is in control of the world economy and the state of every country. He allows leaders to gain power while at the same time topples mighty regimes with a single wave of his hand. God never sleeps, never checks out, and is always present in sickness, and health.
The God we serve is all-knowing, all-seeing, all present, full of compassion, mercy, and love. He is touched by the feelings of our infirmities, making it easy for the warrior to ask the Lord for a prayer assignment. Then, whatever the lot doled out, the warrior must accept it in faith and understanding.
Once the Lord lays something on the heart, conviction mounts, then the Holy Spirit impresses on the warrior to follow through in prayer.
