For The Moment…118

My God is merciful and kind.

He has not dealt with us after our sins.

Thank the Lord, or we will be punished as the day is long.

Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

He does not treat us like we treat others for their misdeeds. He does not think like us, and I thank him for that.

If he were to think like us, then there would never be mercy for those who misstep.

There would never be kindness for the weak who mess up on a regular basis.

There would never be love for those who need a shoulder to lean on.

My God is not like us. He is not quick to condemn. He shows compassion when no one else would.

This he does for his children, for his people, to those who follow him and love him, for those who make him the Lord or their life.

Praise his name forever.

Adapted from Psalm 103 verses 10 and 11.

For The Moment…98

In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.

He was their guide, and He gave them protection.

He brought streams out of the rock and caused waters to run down like rivers.

When they were thirsty and faint, he gave them water to drink.

And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.

They kept on the path of sin even when they saw how God took care of them.

Yea, they spake against God; they said, “Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?”

Ungrateful heart and slow to understand the love of God. He takes care of us because we are His children. Yet we are so undeserving of his love.

Adapted from Psalm 78 verse 14 to 19.

For The Moment…91

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge; he putters down one and setters up another. Psalm 75 verses 6 and 7.

God is in control and will not give his power to another.

When things are going well, we have that notion to believe it is all by our own strength. But God gives the strength and clears the way on our path.

We can trust him. Because He does know the way through this wilderness we call life.

For The Moment…85

Sing, unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that ride the upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

Psalm 68 verse 4.

Who is he, and what is his name?

He is the Lord almighty who called the things that are not into existence.

The one who rides on the wi d in Majesty and Glory.

The one who kills and makes alive.

The one who has the power to destroy every living creature on the earth with the wave of his hand.

His voice is like  thunder, and from his face, the heavens flee away and tremble.

Great is his faithfulness to his people.

Great is his love and mercy. His compassion is renewed all day long.

For The Moment…69

In God, will I trust.

He is my rock, solid and sure when troubles come. I can hang onto him, remembering g his promises.

He is my shield. He protects me from the darts of the Devil as he wars against me.

He is my salvation. The Lord has made it possible through his sacrifice for me to be favored by God. I can come into the holy place of God to make requests. I can come to him personally, and he hears my prayers.

In God, do I trust.

For The Moment…49

God’ s love and kindness are from everlasting to everlasting.

There is no limit to his mercy and faithfulness. They are true all day long.

Great is my God, and greatly should He be praised forever.

(Psalm 36 verse 5)

For The Moment…43

The Lord is a hands-on God.

He does not only tell you what to do but will gently lead you in the right direction and give instructions.

With a personal touch, he will stand beside you all the days of your life.

He promised never to leave you alone because he is in control of everything. Nothing happens in a vacuum, and there is nothing that takes him by surprise.

When you stumble, he will lift you up.

When you are too weak to move on, he will carry you.

Great is his love and his everlasting kindness.

He knows your frame. He knows everything about you. He knows your fears, weaknesses, desires, and strengths. Every hair on your head is numbered. He remembers you are delicate and made of dust.

You may not understand everything about your present circumstance. It may not be anything of your making. Or it could be totally made by your hands.

Still, he is faithful and will never forsake you.

Trust him. He knows the end from the beginning.

He is in control.

He is God.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Psalm 32 verse 8.

For The Moment…41

Many waters can not quench Love, and neither can the floods drown it. If a man would give all that he had for love, it would be utterly condemned. ( Song of Solomon 8 verse 7.)

True love can never be wiped out and it can never be bought.

Love stands eternal.

God is love.

For The Moment…32

My words are not fake.

I do not want to speak peace to my neighbors but have mischief in my heart. ( adapted from Psalm 27 verse 3.)

My prayer today is that I want my words to be pure and sincere. I pray daily that my ways might please the Lord. I pray my heart might be right before the Lord who dwells in holiness and who is holy and cannot look upon sin. But he might be pleased with me and that my enemies will be at peace with me.

Amen.

For The Moment…27

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. I shall lack nothing or have any desire that will not be met because the Lord is in control. He will grant me the desires of my heart if I delight in him.

Like a shepherd, he will guide me and protect me. He will take care of me all the days of my life.

God is good. And he knows those of us who trust in him. (adapted from Psalm 23 verse 1 and Isaiah 40 verse 11)
