God’s Promise: Live Forever

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son.

Yet To Be #169

His love is vast, so great, reaching out to everyone who comes to Him freely.
He gives; His greatest gift of all is the Son of His infinite love.
How can we not accept this gift?
How do we callously turn away, mock Him, trample on his kindness, forsake His mercy and still dare to call ourselves a child of God when we hate the son of His love, Jesus the Christ?
Yet, those who believe and trust in Him are gifted with a promise that transcends all manner of understanding. It is the unmerited and divine promise of life eternal, to live forever.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

God so loved the world

The Invitation From God

“Prayer is an act that seeks to activate a rapport with the One we worship through deliberate communication.”

“God loves us that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.
Why would God give up the most precious thing he has?
Because of Love.
If God loves us so much we should not be afraid to talk to him. We should be happy knowing he cares for us and therefore be so interested in him, we must speak with him.
God should attract our hearts and we should be drawn by the cords of his love to be in his presence.
So moved with wonderment, we must simply fall on our knees in humble adoration, and submit to His authority, acknowledge who He is.
Remember, when we fall on our knees in His presence we are in one of the eight postures of prayer.

For the transgression of my people was he stricken.

Day 3 April- Easter the Second Day

For God so loved the world that He gave His only son.

Love so deep and so vast,

Encompassing all.

Is free.

Pleasing the Father, to bring us back

And to bridge that gulf between God and man,

He had to die.

Nails in his hands and feet;

The sword that pierced his side;

The crown of thorns;

The mockery, his stripes.

All for us.

His blood was shed.

His body bruised.

All for us.

Then darkness fell, the earth rocked, the temple rent.

All for us.

Taken from the cross and laid in a tomb.

All for us.

The Lord of life came to die.

He was taken from prison and from judgement: and who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.” Isaiah 53 verse 8

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” 1 Timothy 1 verse 15
