He is the Light

He is the light that turns the wrong to right.

Yet To Be

Why hope? People need to have faith because they need hope.

There is a light that shines in the dark caverns of the mind.
Though small, even distant it is there; look for it.
Look up, and you will see it.
Jesus is that light.
If you seek him, you will find him.
He will become your strength, shield, and reward.
“He is the light that shines in the darkest night;
The Light that turns the wrong to right.”
He is that light.

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.” John 8 verse 12

Not Shaken, Not Stirred

when you follow the Word of God and look to Jesus, his only begotten Son, you learn life is worth living.

Yet To Be #255

When you listen to the noise surrounding your life, you hear many voices.
Some voices speak words of comfort and peace.
Where others utter words that are sad, and dark, words that are not edifying but disturbing and destructive. These are the loudest and most persistent because they bring along with their burdens of fear and torment.
Finally, there are voices of truth. Truth is a funny thing. It gives freedom in the face of guilt. It gives transparency when there is no vision, yet truth can be dark. Dark only because it shines a light in areas you strive to keep hidden.
These are the voices that should be heard.
Although their sting can be painful, their resolve is sure and honest.
As you listen to those words of truth, you begin to hear the voice of the Lord in a sea of noise. By His words of truth, you become unshaken and not stirred by the changing matters of this life. When you follow the Word of God and look to Jesus, his only begotten Son, you learn life is worth living.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death; I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Psalm 23 verse 4

Fear Not – He Will Be With You

be not afraid of him…

Yet To Be # 238

When God has a plan for you, nothing can stop it from coming to pass.
Sometimes to get to your expected end you need to confront unsurpassable things.
Fear not, God will provide all that you need to conquer that problem and to see you through.
What is for you, you will have.

And the angel of the Lord said unto Elijah, Go down with him be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the King. 2 Kings 1:15

Fear Not – Peace Be Still

There is no God like this everlasting God we serve.

YET TO BE #234

And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel…1 Samuel 23 verse 17.

(David was anointed King and promised by God the throne. In this chapter of the book of Samuel, King Saul’s son Jonathan assures David he will be king no matter how much Saul, his father, seeks to murder him. God uses Jonathan to remind David of his future.
Sadly, Jonathan later breaks the covenant and remains with his father even unto his death.)

Storms may rise and threaten to destroy all hope and promises.
But God is in control.
He calms the storms of life with a wave of His hand.
He creates a dry path to walk in the seas of trouble and makes bridges of hope for the future.
There is no God like this everlasting God we serve.
What is to be, will be, and no one can hinder His work.
Therefore, be not deceived when God makes a promise He will fulfill His word.

Fear Not There is Forgiveness

He is a forgiving God.

Yet To Be # 232

And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not ye have done all this wickedness; yet turn not aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. 1 Samuel 12 verse 20

Fear not; there is forgiveness with the Lord.
If you turn to Him and seek Him with all your heart, He will be found.
He is a forgiving God.

Fear Not – There is Torment

It cannot rule, nor can it even exist when you put your trust in the Lord.

Yet To Be # 231

Fear has torment. (1 John 4 verse 18 -20)
Torment is severe physical or mental suffering. (Oxford Dictionary)
But perfect love gets rid of every fear.
With God in control, fear takes a back seat.
It cannot rule, nor can it even exist when you put your trust in the Lord.

Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it. 1 Samuel 4 verse 20.

Fear Not – For What is Fear?

Fear has torment

Yet To Be # 230

Snow Day

What is fear?
Fear is a strong emotion exhibiting a few physical responses such as high blood pressure, increased heart rate, shortness of breath, and sweating.
“Fear is the oldest and strongest emotion, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is the fear of the unknown.”
No wonder fear has torment.

And the Lord said unto him, Peace be unto thee: fear not, thou shalt not die. Judges 6 verse 23

(reference: 1 John 4 verse 18 and Oxford Dictionary)

Fear Not – Be Encouraged

Yet To be # 229

And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. Judges 4 verse 18

Words of encouragement are part of a language that builds strength.

We all need a kind word now and again.

And kindness is always rewarded.

Fear Not, Neither Be Dismayed

Be strong and of good courage

Yet To Be # 226

The battle is the Lord’s.

He will fight for you, and nothing shall stay His hand.

And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom you fight. Joshua 10 verse 25.

Fear Not God Is A Present Help

Fear them not…there shall not a man of them stand before thee

Yet To Be # 225

God is our helper.

He hears our cries before we call on His name.

He knows our needs and understands our every circumstance.

He is our God, full of compassion and plenteous in mercy.

He will never let us down.

And the Lord said unto Joshua, Fear them not; for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee. Joshua 10 verse 8
