Remembering Jesus and His Work

Yet To Be

Jesus said, I have glorified thee (God the father) on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gave me to do. John 17 verse 4

He came to seek and to save the lost by drawing all to himself, for in him is life.
He glorified the Father in every step of his journey on earth, even to the cross where God’s righteous demands were met and completed.

Remembering Jesus Our Mediator

there is one mediator between God and men..

Yet To be

The blood of Jesus makes atonement for sin (to make things right before God)
Without shedding blood, there could be no reconciliation with God.
Being washed in the precious blood of Jesus, we can approach the throne of grace in boldness because Jesus’ blood covers us.
God is holy, and in His presence we are seen in Christ Jesus.
God sees this coverage and passes over in judgment. There is no other access to God except through His only begotten son, Jesus Christ. It is a privilege that allows us to come into His holy presence through the largeness of His grace.

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2 verse 5

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2 verse 13.

Fear Not – God Is A Shelter From Pursuit, Danger or Difficulty…

Therefore will not we fear…

Yet To Be # 259

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carries into the midst of the sea. Psalm 46 verse 2

We are not alone in our circumstances.
And although some problems are insurmountable, God is there.
There is nothing too hard for Him, nothing impossible for our God.
He created the world by calling the things that were not into being.
This same mighty God hears every cry, every wayward thought, and still knows our needs.
He is not slack, nor is His arm too short that He could not save.

Remembering Jesus

Behold the Lamb of God.

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. Revelation 5 verse 12

Behold the Lamb of God

Fear Not God Will Give You Strength

God is not a man that he could lie.

Yet To Be #258

The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. Psalm 29 verse 11

God’s promises are forever.
His yes is yes, and his no is no.
He will never turn back on His word because He cannot tell a lie.

God is not a man, that he should lie. Numbers 23 verse 19.

Joy in Knowing Jesus

There is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents

Yet To Be

In the weakest of moments I look away, down instead of up, and see nothing.
If there is a tiny speck of light, I don’t see it because I look at my circumstances and their harsh limitations.
How cruel to be born, grow, gain, lose, and then die, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
How evil it is to despair. So easy it is to sink into the dark corners of the mind, to give into a depression where the soul is robbed of faith, and the heart becomes too afraid to believe.
It is a vengeful spirit that must not exist.
It is a evil that must never win.
The battle belongs to God.
He fights for us and will never fail.
Within the presence of God, there is peace, rest, joy, and love:
A love which dispels all fears. A love which brightens even the darkest nights with strength and with hope.

There is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. Luke 15 verse 7

He is the Light

He is the light that turns the wrong to right.

Yet To Be

Why hope? People need to have faith because they need hope.

There is a light that shines in the dark caverns of the mind.
Though small, even distant it is there; look for it.
Look up, and you will see it.
Jesus is that light.
If you seek him, you will find him.
He will become your strength, shield, and reward.
“He is the light that shines in the darkest night;
The Light that turns the wrong to right.”
He is that light.

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.” John 8 verse 12

I know My Champion Lives

Jesus the Lord my righteousness.

Yet To Be #257

I sit in a room with dark windows while the world outside sinks into chaos. Drought, famine, poverty, and greed threaten to rise like strong men preparing for battle. To fight a war that is to come; a war to end all wars the like we have never seen; violence to wipe out the children of men. This battle of life is old. There is only one captain, Savior, Redeemer, one Champion who lives to fight.
He is Jesus the Lord, my righteousness, my Saviour, my friend.

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. Psalm 27:3

The Lord is My Light and My Salvation Whom Shall I Fear.

There is joy in knowing Jesus.

Yet To Be # 256

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.

The Lord is my life and my salvation.
He gives, and He takes away; so deep is His love.
Who knows the mind of the Lord, and who can understand His ways?
His ways are not my ways neither are His thoughts my thoughts.
Nothing escapes His eyes when they are fixed solely on His children.
He is my light as I walk through the valley, scale mountains, weather storms, and descend into pits.
He is my guide and my savior.
I am no longer afraid of the Dark.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27 verse 1

Hope rocks some serious acquaintance.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

He is your salvation.
Come to Jesus with all your burdens, lay them before Him, and confess your sins. Ask Him to come into your heart, and be the Lord of your life. He will give you joy, peace, and freedom in your soul like never before.
There is joy in knowing Jesus.

Not Shaken, Not Stirred

when you follow the Word of God and look to Jesus, his only begotten Son, you learn life is worth living.

Yet To Be #255

When you listen to the noise surrounding your life, you hear many voices.
Some voices speak words of comfort and peace.
Where others utter words that are sad, and dark, words that are not edifying but disturbing and destructive. These are the loudest and most persistent because they bring along with their burdens of fear and torment.
Finally, there are voices of truth. Truth is a funny thing. It gives freedom in the face of guilt. It gives transparency when there is no vision, yet truth can be dark. Dark only because it shines a light in areas you strive to keep hidden.
These are the voices that should be heard.
Although their sting can be painful, their resolve is sure and honest.
As you listen to those words of truth, you begin to hear the voice of the Lord in a sea of noise. By His words of truth, you become unshaken and not stirred by the changing matters of this life. When you follow the Word of God and look to Jesus, his only begotten Son, you learn life is worth living.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death; I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Psalm 23 verse 4
