For The Moment…56

Betrayal is an unsavory dish. Something that turns the heart to stone.

We never see it coming, too caught up in the sweet words of a friend.

We break bread together, we drink, we make merry, and yet that  person disguised like a friend continues to plot our demise.

Yes, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

Psalm 41 verse 9.

As true followers of Jesus Christ, we must never have two faces. The Lord was betrayed by a friend, and that so called friend’s end was eternal doom.

We must always have the mind of Christ and show love and compassion.

For The Moment …22

Take the whole world, but give me Jesus; no turning back, no turning back. I have decided to follow Jesus.

This original hymn was sung by Nokseng, a Garo man from a tribe in Meghadaya in Assam, which is the northeast of India. The formation of this song to hymn is attributed to an Indian missionary Sadhu Sundar Singh.

For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God. For I delight in Him. ( Psalm 18 verse 21)

I know My Champion Lives

Jesus the Lord my righteousness.

Yet To Be #257

I sit in a room with dark windows while the world outside sinks into chaos. Drought, famine, poverty, and greed threaten to rise like strong men preparing for battle. To fight a war that is to come; a war to end all wars the like we have never seen; violence to wipe out the children of men. This battle of life is old. There is only one captain, Savior, Redeemer, one Champion who lives to fight.
He is Jesus the Lord, my righteousness, my Saviour, my friend.

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. Psalm 27:3
