The Lord is my life and my salvation. He gives, and He takes away; so deep is His love. Who knows the mind of the Lord, and who can understand His ways? His ways are not my ways neither are His thoughts my thoughts. Nothing escapes His eyes when they are fixed solely on His children. He is my light as I walk through the valley, scale mountains, weather storms, and descend into pits. He is my guide and my savior. I am no longer afraid of the Dark.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27 verse 1
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
He is your salvation. Come to Jesus with all your burdens, lay them before Him, and confess your sins. Ask Him to come into your heart, and be the Lord of your life. He will give you joy, peace, and freedom in your soul like never before. There is joy in knowing Jesus.
He raised me out of my dark hole. The Lord is my shepherd. He guides my path. I may fear what can happen to me. I fear as my body may give way, but God is able. He has not given me over to mindless existence. He did not leave me to struggle in my black corner. My delight is with him. My joy is in singing my praise to him. He is the captain of my salvation, my soul, yes, my whole being. He makes a path for me to walk and light to plant my steps. I call upon him from the depth of my soul, and he hears my cry. He promised and would not disappoint.
“He brought me also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.” Psalm 40:2
In every thing thanks for this is the will of God.

The grateful soul comes before the throne of God in thanksgiving. There is no sense of envy, no stench of pride. Humility weakens the knees so they can bend. Joy loosens the tongue so it can sing praise. While selfish desires, the wanton mind, the lustful spirit all speed along their course to the line’s end, the prayerful heart makes a narrow path and throws wide the door for the will of God.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 1Thessalonians 5:18
