With God There is Peace…

Yet To Be# 271

Great peace have they which love thy law and nothing shall offend them. Psalm 119 verse 165

There is no peace when we are surrounded by strife, poverty, and violence.

To have a little solace in our private space is something elusive.

If we cannot have it we decide to create our own brand of comfort and race toward that ultimate goal.

Hooked on the rush of the moment, that sense of euphoria we run the mill like rats on a wheel moving over and over again until we tear off the routine, the same old, same old when things grow stale or we become too weary to go on.

Unaccommodated, stripped of all the trappings of society left alone with the nakedness of our emotions, we are now ready.

Ready to enter into a place of quietness where God is our focus.

In his presence, there is no censor, no criticism.

We learn of true peace.

We learn there is rest and we delight in his word.

Fear Not – Speak the Truth

“speak the truth and speak it ever”

Yet To Be # 235

And the King said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? 1 Samuel 28 verse 13

“Speak the truth and speak it ever.”
Don’t be afraid to say what is right.
Speak up for the truth and believe it.
But those who speak what is right have very few friends,
And walk a lonely path.
Rest assured, God is our rewarder and our comforter.
With Him in control we are never alone.

God’s Promises: You will be remembered.

When the cold, dank scene of aloneness is the only place found where you head can rest; it is time to call upon the Lord.

Yet To Be # 165

Remembrance is a precious gift of honoring those loved, respected, cherished, or merely liked.
It is the act of looking back and preserving moments, words spoken, and actions taken.
The bitter sting of loneliness sets in when you are lost within a crowded sphere.
Your deeds are not mentioned.
Even your existence seems to be wiped clean from the memory of friends.
When the cold, dank scene of aloneness is the only place found where your head can rest.
It is time to call upon the Lord.
The One who forgives sins and wipes away all tears from your eyes.
The One who gives comfort to the brokenhearted, healing to the disparaged soul, brings cheer to the sorrowing,
And yet all the while promising never to leave or forsake you.
His love is real because He can never forget to remember.

“I formed you; you are my servant…you shall not be forgotten of me.” Isaiah 44:21

God’s Promise: I will never leave you.

Lo, I am with you all way, even to the end of the world.

Yet To Be #156

“Loneliness is an unpleasant emotional response to perceived isolation.”

As a child of God, we must remember that God promised never to leave or forsake us.
Sometimes when circumstances are overwhelming, we forget to remember the Bible is God’s word to us, every chapter, every verse, and every line. Scripture is given to us for rebuke, correction, and instruction. A passage from the Old Testament may speak about a character from the past but, it can also be relatable to us today. God’s word is fresh and applicable in the past, in the present, and forever.
God promised to Jacob, “Behold, I am with you, and will keep you in all places wherever you go and will bring you again into the land; for I will not leave you until I have done that which I have spoken to you of.”
Again in Deuteronomy, chapter 31 verse 6 Moses spoke to the children of Israel to encourage them with the truth. He said, “He (God) it is that goes with you, He will not fail you, nor forsake you.”
This promise passes throughout the Old Testament and well into the New Testament. Jesus the only begotten son of God says, “Lo, I am with you all way, even to the end of the world.”
As He was with the children of Israel, we are His children, and He will help us also.
He is God and changes not.
