Yet To Be #89

He cannot deny himself

Trust in the Lord

The Park

Trust and don’t be afraid.

He promised to always be there, never to leave nor turn away.

Take his hand and he will guide.

Ask of him can he not provide?

When we call his name, he answers every cry.

The closer we are, the closer he stays.

He is touched by the beating of our hearts,

By the breathing of our spirit.

Captivated by the brightness of our souls, he looked upon us and his compassion was stirred.

Who is he that he should love us?

Who is he that he cannot deny himself?

He is master.

He is Lord.

He is God.

Trust in the Lord and lean not unto your own understanding. Proverbs 3 verse 3

Yet to Be # 21

Rejoice in the Lord

My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies: because I rejoice in Thy salvation.  1 Samuel 2 verse 1

He that rejoices, let him rejoice in the Lord.

Yet To Be #20

We have heard a rumour from the Lord…For the Lord hath spoken it.  And the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.  Obadiah 1 verses , 1, 18 and 21

Today, the word rumour has a negative meaning. When you look at the verse, the rumour is from the Lord is a report. The Lord spoke it and He is the one who is head over all things.  In a coming day He will reign and rule in righteousness.  (Vicissitudes of Life, 2007)

This Too Shall Pass

Hope springs eternal

“the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come…” Song of Solomon verse 11, 12

Winter time is cold and bleak as with life when there is sorrow things are cold and bleak. Yet, when winter passes there is the anticipation of spring as the harbinger of hope.

Someone reminded me today, “hope springs eternal in the human breast”. This famous quotation was taken from the 18th century English poet Alexander Pope’s An Essay on Man (1732).

When faced with adversity humans will try to hope for the best.

New Year – Hope

Forasmuch as you know your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58 Adapted from the KJV

Now comes the weeping,

then the glad reaping,

Now comes the labour in the Lord

then the reward. – by Anon

2021 is a new year, another chance to start fresh with a so called clean slate. Although this year is new, the hardships, stress and pain of 2020 are old and will not so easily disappear but will linger. Nevertheless, we can rest assure there is HOPE as we pray for something better.

Hope does not make us ashamed.
