Judgment of The Godless

Yet To Be #278

The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. Isaiah 17 verse 2

In the book of Isaiah the prophet foretold the invasion of the Assyrian army and the fall of Israel as a warning to God’s people because of their Godless ways.

God is holy and cannot look upon sin.

He deals in righteous judgment on the just and the unjust.

He knows we are not perfect and remembers that we easily make mistakes.

Nevertheless, God loves us and sent his only begotten son so that we can be saved from the wrath to come and be brought back to him in grace.

Those who confess Jesus as Lord and Saviour, are then called Children of God.

For those who reject Jesus as Saviour and Lord, they will not be spending eternity with God but will be cast out into eternal darkness where “the worm dies not, neither is the fire quenched.”

Salvation is only through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ the Lord.

Remembering Jesus’ Love

nothing can separate us from the love of God.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8 verses 38 and 39.

He loves us and cannot deny himself.
He would do everything for his loved ones.
Love, how can we count the ways of this emotion?
His love is like no other.
What can separate us from his love?
Neither height nor depth nor death,
Can separate us from the love of Christ.
He longs for us to be together.
To be in his presence for eternity.
Where he is, we shall one day be there too.

Fear Not and Do Not Be Shaken

My belief stands firm because he is my hope.

Yet To Be #254

I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
I am not shaken.
When the darkness of my thoughts threatens to consume me, he is always there to lead me to the light.
My belief stands firm because He is my hope, my shield, and my reward.
I fear not because I am always in his remembrance.

Fear Not, Be Safe

Yet To Be # 250

Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them. Job 21 verse 9.

The love of God covers us from sin.

Trust in God blesses us with promise.

Belief in God keeps us grounded.

Faith in God gives us strength.

And praying together keeps the family happy and safe.

Fear Not – There is Torment

It cannot rule, nor can it even exist when you put your trust in the Lord.

Yet To Be # 231

Fear has torment. (1 John 4 verse 18 -20)
Torment is severe physical or mental suffering. (Oxford Dictionary)
But perfect love gets rid of every fear.
With God in control, fear takes a back seat.
It cannot rule, nor can it even exist when you put your trust in the Lord.

Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it. 1 Samuel 4 verse 20.

God’s Promise: Love Eternal

He will give unto them beauty for ashes

Yet To Be # 190

As night gives way to the dawn, so too our God turns sorrow into joy, ashes into beauty.
He will never leave us to suffer in pain to suffer alone.
He will not forsake us but will remain constant through tribulations.
Ours is not a God made with hands or designed by human imagination.
He is real.
He is the true and living God who sits sovereign on his throne.
Nothing escapes him.
His children are not lost.
He comforts us all and loves us equally.
Great is his love and his faithfulness.

And the Lord shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and satisfy your bones: and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. Isaiah 58:11

the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy that it cannot hear. Isaiah 59:1

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. Isaiah 61:3

God’s promises: I go to prepare a place for you.

Where He is, He wants us to be.

Yet To Be # 170

The desire to have someone we love close and to keep that person always near is worth having.
Opening our life, our dwelling place to someone our heart forms an attachment is intimate and precious.
It is a language far deeper than emotions can ever flow.
It is out of sight, out of mind caught up in the heart, which is the seat of all affection.
This is the love of God and His desire in His promises towards us.
Where He is, He wants us to be.
Where He belongs, we have a home ready and waiting.
There is no other desire in His heart but for us.
If that isn’t love indeed, the oceans are dry, and there are no stars in the sky.

“I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there you maybe also.” John 14:2 and 3

God’s Promise: Kindness forever

Touched by the feelings of our infirmities

Yet To Be #168

Knowing the Almighty God, the Creator of the universe cares for us surpasses all understanding.
He sent His only Son to suffer and die, to secure us for Himself.
His love reaches far, burning the very fringes of our minds and awakening our dark souls. There is no God like Him, gentle in mercy and plenteous in understanding.
Touched by the feelings of our infirmities, He cannot deny himself; so deep is His love, who can compare?

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. Isaiah 54:10
