For The Moment…104

And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man saying, we will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name , to take away our reproach. Isaiah 4 verse 1.

A true marriage of convenience. This is a prophesy from ancient times, and it fits so well in today’s modern society.

It is good to be strong and not to be dependent on people. Our dependence should be on God, not on a man or anyone, but God is our resource.

He provides people to help us in our time of need. He prepares a path for us to walk where we encounter many folks to help us and to be there for us. We are never alone.

We can be self-sufficient, but we need to call upon the Lord for our needs.

Let us walk in the light of the Lord.  Isaiah 2 verse 5.

Light illuminates. It reveals the direction to take. It can be a beacon in the middle of darkness as a guide to safety.

As we walk in the Lord’s light, we will see a clear path for our feet so they will not slip. We will not fall but if we do for any reason fall or even stumble maybe because our legs are tired and our mind need rest, the Lord will pick us up and hold our hand to give us strength so we can keep moving forward.

He is a good God.

For The Moment…55

Compassion is at the forefront of being a true believer and follower of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus walked this earth,

He was moved with compassion for so many who came to Him for help that He helped them. He helped them and asked for nothing for Himself.

To be like Christ, we have to behave like Him, then we will be His deciples in thought, word, and deed.

Blessed is he that considers the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

Psalm 41 verse 1.

For The Moment…28

The Lord is great.

The Lord is the king of glory the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. He will fight for you. The Lord who owns this earth and all that is in the earth, the fulness, riches, the plenty of this earth is His . This same God says to ask him anything and prove him and see if He will not open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing. It will be a blessing juat for you. If only you will believe Him, you will receive whatever you ask. (adapted from Psalm 24, Malachi 3 verse 16 and Matthew 21 verse 22)

Jesus Lives…

This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased. Matthew 3 verse 17.

He finished the work which the Father gave him to do.

Perfect completion.

God the Father is well pleased with His son.

He raised him from the dead.

And seated him at his right hand in the glory.

There he lives the die no more.

The Son of Man, the son of God, Jesus Christ the Lord.

Jesus lives.

Remembering Jesus…

Where is He now?

We see Jesus…

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in times past unto the fathers by the prophets. Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. Being made so much better than the angels. as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. Hebrews 1 verses 1 to 4

He is now crowned with honor.

Seated at the Father’s right hand in the glory.

Having completed the work that the Father gave him to do.

There he lives.

We remember him.
