Fear Not – Just Do It

she did as he commanded in faith

Yet To Be # 237

Prayer

And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth. 1 Kings 17 verses 13 and verse.

When you have work to do for the Lord, do not hesitate.

Be diligent.

Do it with kindness.

Whatever God wants of you.

Too many questions lead to doubt and anger.

We will never understand God’s ways.

His ways are past finding out.

(Elijah the prophet of God came to the widow of Zarephath and asked her for a morsel of bread to eat. She only had enough for her and her son and nothing more. But Elijah said to her, Fear not, go and make me first, then make for you and your son.  She did as he commanded in faith, and the barrel of meal did not waste away, and the oil stayed.)

Hope never dies

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.  1Peter 1 verse 3

Hope means expectation, desire, something to look forward to; hope never dies. Christ is our hope. Mercy means compassion, forgiveness, kindness.  God has granted these favours on us – He sent His son to die for us. He raised His son from the dead so that we can live forever. Holiness

In the New Testament of the Bible, holiness means to be set apart from the profane (the unholy) and refers to the beauty, purity and divine perfection of God.  God the Creator, who called the things that were not into being.  It is this same God, who in his great mercy loved us so much and could not deny Himself, sent his only son to become our Savior.  – adapted from the King James Version
