walk by faith not by sight

#4 of 31 Hope is not Luck

Luck is an unpredictable force outside of our control that is governed by chance.

Hope anticipates the good and wishes for the best and is driven by faith, not chance.

Luck is interchangeable between the positive and the negative, whereas Hope is constantly positive.

“We walk by faith, not by sight and we are confident…” 2 Corinthians 5 verse 7 and 8a

#2 of 31 Hope Defined

Dictionary definition states, hope is to cherish a desire with anticipation to want something to happen or be true. (Merriam-Webster)

Having hope is to be expectant, to have confidence and certainty.

It is the light at the end of a long and dark tunnel.

Despair has no power to grow or even to exist, when hope shines eternal.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death neither sorrow, nor shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away” Revelation 21 verse 4

Many waters cannot quench love

#7 of 14 Love

Ophelia

Love encompasses a range of strong and positive emotional and mental states, from the most sublime virtue or good habit, the deepest interpersonal affection, to the simplest pleasure.[1][2] An example of this range of meanings is that the love of a mother differs from the love of a spouse, which differs from the love of food. Most commonly, love refers to a feeling of strong attraction and emotional attachment.[3] (Wikipedia.org 2021)

“Many waters cannot quench love neither can the floods drown it.” Song of Solomon 8 verse 7
