God’s Promise: Nothing is impossible

He hears and answers every prayer.

Yet To be #163

Nothing is too hard or too small to waken the ears of God.

He hears and answers every prayer.

With God all things are possible.

“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26

With every single prayer uttered, the warrior is recharged, revived and ready for battle again

Prayer Warrior in Need of Prayer

The mission of a prayer warrior is to pray for others.
They fight for others by going before the problem and bringing it up to the Lord with all boldness. It is their calling; to be selfless, thinking about others, making the sacrifice to serve others when they too may be in need.

In the book of Ephesians chapter 6, we must put on the full armor of God so we can withstand the fiery darts of the devil. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The strength of the warrior lies with the Lord. As the warrior prays and becomes dependent on God, power from God sustains the warrior in the evil day.

As a doctor needing a doctor when he or she is ill, it is not unusual for the warrior to falter in battle and suffer the scars of many wounds. Tragedy, sickness, loss of employment, insurmountable stress, the occasional unbelief, and doubt may fell the warrior from time to time. It is not unusual as warriors are human and are also subject to all the machinations of life. Therefore, they are in great need of support.

Unfortunately, much like the poor man who saved the city cited in the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse 15, and was forgotten, so too we forget the warrior in our devotions. With every single prayer uttered, the warrior is recharged, revived, refreshed, and ready for battle once again.

they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.

Prayer Warrior Waits

Bring your requests to the throne of grace leave it at his feet.

Prayer is our strength.

We fight on our knees for others, and for self.

Time passes and yet there is nothing to be heard, nothing to see.

The prayer goes silent.

The light of hope fades into a flicker.

Wait. Wait. And wait some more.

If we wait our strength will be renewed.

Night will turn into day.

The sun will break the darkness.

Because the answer is on the way.

Let none that wait on thee be ashamed. Psalm25:3

Thou shalt know that I am the Lord for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.  Isaiah 49:23

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Isaiah 40:31

A Matter of Praying…part 4 – Teach us how to pray

Prayer

No one can really teach you how to pray to God, save the Holy Spirit who dwells in every child of God.

When we do not know what to say the Holy Spirit gives us the words.  Helps us to dig deep down and express our self.

How to talk to God.

  1. Call him by his name. What do we call him when we try to talk to him? In any relationship we call that other person by their name. We ought to do the same with the Creator.  Call him, God.
  2. Get personal. As you get closer to him things will change. You will become more comfortable in addressing him.  The Aramaic term Abba appears 3 times in the Greek New testament. Some Christians translate it as “Daddy” as an intimate greeting. And another aspect that goes deeper in understanding the endearment of Abba is obedience.  “Father, I will obey.” (Romans 8:15)
  3. Reverence. He maybe our Father but he is not our old man.  We are to have respect for him in how we speak to him and how we come to him.  Come to him with all sincerity of heart and having a clean and free conscience. (Matthew 6:9-13)
  4. Keep it simple.  Say what you mean and mean what you say.  If you want something Jesus says to ask for it.  “Ask and it shall be given unto you.” (Matthew 7:7)
  5. Never make a promise you can’t keep.  Don’t make a vow you can’t keep because God will hold you accountable.  Be careful what you say.  He hears every word and knows every deed.  Ecclesiastes 5:5
  6. Time.  Is there a good time? The best time or a better time to pray to God?  There is no fixed time to come to God.  You can come to him at anytime; He never sleeps. (Psalm 121:4)

A double minded man is unstable

Double Minded

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1 verse 8

Why does the Lord take so long to answer my prayers?

Maybe the problem is too great for Him.

He never sleeps. He never stumbles, nothing is too small to awake His ears.

But He is not answering.

Is it because there maybe something wrong.

Should I confess my sins?

Should I cry for mercy then will He hear?

His ways are not my ways, His love is so great, so full and free.

I am too small, for Him to think of me?

There is doubt, there is confusion.

Why do I doubt? I am double minded.

Oh, Lord restore my heart;

And renew a right spirit within me.

A Promise from God

In the book of Zechariah in the Bible, chapter 2 and verse 10B

I will dwell in the midst of thee says the Lord (KJV)

God is saying He will never leave me or forsake me. The Bible says God is holy and he cannot tell a lie. If I trust Him and believe His words there will be no doubts. He is right there for me no matter where I am or where I go. The fear of being alone is clouded when I trust in His word and His presence.

In this modern world seeing is believing and anything written in the Bible is laughed at. That doesn’t matter to me because even when the world around me laughs and says there is no God, I still keep trusting in Him because I know through faith that He is real. The opinions of others doesn’t change that fact. He is the living and true God and I believe in Him.

Knowing that my God will be there for me when I fall or fail in my goals. I may have a bad day. I may be grieving over the loss of a loved one or there is some kind of illness in the family or I can not pay my bills. I am so blessed to be able to call on Him and He gives me strength and provides for me all the time. The Bible says he hears all my prayers.

Lets make this new day a good day and count our blessings. Life is too short to waste and the path of life can get very twisted and hard to walk. We need a guide. How hard would it be to make God your guide.
