Journey to the Resurrection

Yet To Be # 309

“My God, my God why has thou forsaken me?” Matthew 27 verse 46.

This is not a question that the Lord Jesus needed to be answered.

He knew why God could not look at him. Why God had to turn his back on his only begotten son.

He knew hanging on the cross, crucified for the sake of the world he was made sin by taking our sins on himself. He became the true sacrifice.

This was the work that the Father gave him to do.

And he fulfilled this work in perfect obedience.

In perfect satisfaction to God.

“God is of purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot look upon sin.” Habakkuk 1 verse 13.

The Blood of Jesus…

Remembering Jesus…

Behold the Lamb, crowned with glory and honor.

The true Passover Lamb who gave himself so that we could be redeemed to God.

Redemption comes through the blood, his precious blood.

Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.

It is by his blood that we are washed. We are cleansed and brought back to God in favor.

God sees the blood of His son and passed over in judgment.

Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

We Contemplate Thee: Remembrance of Jesus

Yet To Be 253

We think of Him, who in willing obedience to the Father came to earth to die.

The Son of God who was there in eternity past left it all for us that we might be enriched.

Made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, ( he emptied himself), and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, ( his own creation), he humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

It does not end here…

But we see Jesus who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

God’s Promise: No one shall perish

Jesus Christ the son of God, suffered for us and died for us.

Yet to be # 182

God promises salvation to everyone who believes in his son, the son of his love.
God loved us even before the world began. He gave us everything to enjoy, but we plunged the world into sin which, separated us from our Creator.
But God so loved the world; he had a remedy.
He sent his only son to earth that we can be saved.
His son became the perfect sacrifice for sin, he became the remedy to bring mankind back to a holy God and to make us fit to call God our Father.
Jesus Christ, the son of God, suffered for us and died for us. Nothing but a perfect sacrifice would appease God, so his son must die in our place, a place we deserve because of our sinful nature. (John 3:16)
