Dictionary definition states, hope is to cherish a desire with anticipation : to want something to happen or be true. (Merriam-Webster)

Having hope is to be expectant, to have confidence and certainty.

It is the light at the end of a long and dark tunnel.

Despair has no power to grow or even to exist, when hope shines eternal.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death neither sorrow, nor shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away” Revelation 21 verse 4

Under the name Francis Lee, I write interracial Christian romantic suspense. My stories are about finding enduring love when hope and redemption seem unattainable as danger lurks around every corner. My characters learn that where there is darkness, "joy will always come in the morning".

  1. This is beautiful. I remember, when I was younger I looked in the dictionary for “don’t despare”. This is in a song I learnt in Sunday School. The word despare means “give up hope”. To this day I’ve not forgotten it. Thank you for the encouragement.
