Equal work for equal value

If you had the power to change one law, what would it be and why?

They are unwritten laws that state that if you are not of the same look or sex then the work you do will not amount to the same pay as that other person.

For example: if I am a black female or male  or a South East Asian male or female or Asian female or male and I have a colleague who is doing the same job and who is white male or female in a very white dominated company, that person will get better pay and receive more accolades which can lead to a future promotion.

It is no one’s fault but the powers in charge.

Nevertheless, it is what happens on a regular basis where you have to work twice as hard to get only get half.

It does not matter if you are male or female or BIPOC. You just have to work harder to get what you deserve in any work sector.

Will this stop?

No. It will continue. It is how the world is made. You just have to continue to do the best you can.

Under the name Francis Lee, I write interracial Christian romantic suspense. My stories are about finding enduring love when hope and redemption seem unattainable as danger lurks around every corner. My characters learn that where there is darkness, "joy will always come in the morning".
