What about the caregivers of those who are ill?

No one talks about the caregivers. It is a thankless and exhausting job to take care of a loved one who has physical or mental concerns.

Yet, it can be a blessing

There are good days and bad days, but looking at the situation with a compassionate eye makes the weariness of each task almost fade away into nothingness.

Some people say it is a calling. Clearly, those folks are the ones who have never seen another person’s most basic needs.

It is not a calling but is a creation or necessity of life with all its varying circumstances.

One thing I know for sure is that when times get tough, never turn your back on that vulnerable loved one. If you need help, just ask.

My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12 verse 9.

    1. I pray for you regularly. I know she is your daughter, but still, the Lord is with you. We took care of mom and now our sister, who is recovering from a head injury. Take care and keep trust the Lord.

    2. I have access to wonderful caregivers that worked with my mom until she died last year. They are in the area. Very professional, smart, caring and experienced.

      1. I agree. Caregivers are amazing, but at times, so overlooked. I am happy your mother received great care.
I work with a lot of caregivers who are from agencies or family members. It takes so much compassion to do what they do. Mentally, it can be draining, emotional, or for some physical. Sometimes , simple words of thanks go a long way.
